91: The Ariel School Landing with Richard Hatem Mar 07, 2022
    Show notes

"There are no other cases, this is the case" Frank Galvin, played by Paul Newman in Sidney Lumet's 1982 classic, The Verdict, said. And it's a line that our guest for this episode, Richard Hatem, repeated multiple times. In the film, Galvin starts repeating the line when all hope seems lost. In a parallel to the 1994 Ariel School Landing, the beings that appeared there said something similar about the planet, only, they used the word "techknowledged." This was a word the the students had never used before, but was repeated by a small handful of them.
The Ariel School Landing was unique among the experiencer stories of the 1990s. In many ways it seemed unintentional and yet deliberate. Over 60 students (some claiming more than 100) witnessed a strange UFO glinting from the bush near their playground. Some of the students saw strange beings and others claimed to receive telepathic messages from close contact with these beings. When you dig down deep, there are elements of time distortion, glitches, and telepathy.
And yet, this was not the only school in history to receive a visit from some strange beings. On this episode Rich and I dive into one of the most important UFO and contactee cases of the last 30 years.

90: The Experiences of Kelly Cahill with Tom G Wolf Feb 28, 2022
    Show notes

In 1994 it was not uncommon to see experiencers featured on shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show or Geraldo Rivera. The public attention that the Roswell Crash, Whitley Strieber, Budd Hopkins, and John Mack received pushed the UFO into the mainstream like it had never been before.
In Australia, a country who's UFO beliefs were very conservative, a story started to spread about a woman who had been involved in a multiple witness abduction. He name is Kelly Cahill.
Kelly's story is one fraught with religious symbols, terrifying entities with glowing red eyes, and a less than stellar husband who mocks her endlessly for opening up about her experiences. I'm joined by Tom G. Wolf of Lupine Transmissionsto unpack the story of Kelly Cahill.
Special thanks to Amber Keller for compiling the research and writing the majority of it for this episode.

89: The BAEliens (Big Ass Eared Aliens) with Greg Newkirk Feb 20, 2022
    Show notes

Through the annals of UFO lore and literature, there are tales of short humanoid beings with long ears, beings that seem to be ripped straight from the pages of fairy lore, beings that resemble bridge trolls and fauns.
On this episode, Greg Newkirk, Director of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, Executive Producer of Hellier and the upcoming film, The Buildout, joins me to discuss a handful of cases including the Ririe, Idaho Car Jacking case, the Puerto Rican Chicken Poachers (that didn't actually poach any chickens) and the Rat-Faced Humanoids of Italy.

88: The Catman/Batman of Argentina with John Tenney Feb 14, 2022
    Show notes

On episode 77, I presented a wave of UFO activity from 1972 that was witnessed throughout South Africa. On this episode we head over to Argentina where an odd series of "train-like" objects were spotted in the month of July. The main feature of this case, is a series of sightings that took place at the Renault auto manufacturing plant where multiple eyewitnesses described seeing a tall "batman-like" figure who had the ability to manipulate electrical fields and smell their finger?

I'm joined this week by John Tenney, anomalous researcher, investigator, author, lecturer, and co-host of the podcast, What's Up Weirdo.

87: The UFOs of Sweden with Fred Andersson Feb 07, 2022
    Show notes

Often when UFO cases are written about in journals and reviews, particularly when they're from other countries, there is a lack of nuance and cultural background. They are experienced in a vacuum.
On today's episode writer, author, and television producer, Fred Andersson joins the pod to talk about some of Sweden's most fascinating, bizarre and absurd UFO cases. We explore the differences between American contactees v. Swedish ones, as well an interesting theory that Fred has about what attracts UFOs to a particular area.

86: Alien Incognito Mode with AP Strange Jan 31, 2022
    Show notes

Through the annals of alien and UFO lore lives a population of beings so vast and different that it confuses the mind and the senses. The vast differences from sighting to sighting leave so much room for speculation, especially as it relates to the origins of these beings.
But what happens when the beings among us try to disguise themselves as humans. On this episode, AP Strange returns as we trade off stories of aliens in trench coats and hats, a book editor who confronts a pair of aliens in a book store, an alien woman named Elvira and the snake people that moved in next door.

85: The Abduction of Carl Higdon with AP Strange Jan 24, 2022
    Show notes

When one of his crew members called out sick, Everett "Carl" Higdon, a resident of Rawlins, Wyoming, borrowed the company truck, and set out for McCarty canyon to hunt elk with his new 7MM Magnum rifle. Along the way, he ran into two guys who were having trouble with their truck. As a nod of appreciation for helping them out, they directed Carl to a remote are of Medicine Bow National Forest.
After running into a local game warden, Carl set out in search of elk, and before long he found a group of five standing in a clearing. Before long, a deadened shot would lead to a strange experience with an even stranger being.
Anomalous researcher, AP Strange, joins me to unpack the bewildering abduction of Carl Higdon.

84: The Voronezh Landing & Russian UFO Flap of 1989 with Ryan Sprague Jan 17, 2022
    Show notes

For decades, UFO reports from inside the Soviet Union were leaked to various UFO researchers and writers. Flying Saucer Review often printed UFO accounts from behind the Iron Curtain, which was risky, because it was forbidden to write about UFOs in the Soviet Union.

And then, in 1989, UFO secrecy seemed to drop overnight. News of a now infamous landing in Yuzhny Park (South Park) from the industrial city of Voronezh made headlines worldwide. Soon, news of other landings and UFO accounts would fill the pages of UFO journals and supplements,

Did UFO secrecy really fall, or was there something at work in Russia. I'm joined by Ryan Sprague of the Somewhere in the Skies Podcast to dissect the Voronezh landing and the Russian UFO flap of 1989.

83: The New Berlin Landing & Woodstock Poltergeist with Tobias Wayland Jan 10, 2022
    Show notes

Hello Patrons! Here is the early release of the next episode! On today's episode of the Our Strange Skies podcast, we bring you a pair of fairy tales from New York.

In November of 1964 a newly married woman, along with her mother in law, observed two UFOs, and a crew of 10-12 normal looking people, repair their craft for over FOUR HOURS! In the second case, a young couple moves into a small cabin on the outskirts of Woodstock only to experience an incredible spate of poltergeist phenomenon in and around their home.

Tobias Wayland of the Singular Fortean Society joins me to discuss these two fascinating and frustrating cases.
