'UFO Landings UK'
British UFO researcher Philip Mantle began his active involvement in ufology in 1980 when he joined the newly formed Yorkshire UFO Society. One of the first UFO cases that he investigated was that of a landing case in the West Yorkshire town of Normanton in England. This incident took place only a few miles from where he lived. The case in question was to do two things, the first was to confirm that he was not wasting his time investigating this phenomenon, and the second was to give him a lifelong interest in both UFOs and in particular UFO landing cases.This book looks at UFO landing cases in the UK only (with the addition of the Republic of Ireland) beginning long before the modern era of UFOs began in 1947 right the way through to today. Case histories are separated into decades and come complete with photographs, documents, artwork and much more. The case histories featured in this book are looked at for their ‘high strangeness’ value.
The late Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the man who invented the phrase ‘close encounters’ suggested long ago that an area of research to concentrate on were the cases which were up close and personal, in others words UFO landing accounts. Dr. Hynek argued that the greater the degree of high strangeness the less likely it was that the UFO case in question could be explained away in conventional terms. As UFO researchers we know that most UFO sightings reported have a conventional explanation and at the end of the day there remains only a few that seem to remain ‘unidentified’. The author argues that the closer the witnesses are to these UFO landings then the less likely they are to have a rational explanation. The high strangeness factor increases in a number of ways, the length of time the UFO is in view, how close the witness was to it, more than one witness being involved and so on.
The case histories featured in this book come from some of the authors own investigations along with other UFO researchers, UFO groups, publications and of course UFO books. At no point in this book does the author argue that any one specific theory is better placed to explain these cases than any other. The readers are left to make up their own mind in this respect. Instead, and in keeping with the theme of the book the author has obtained comments from a significant number of his colleagues around the UK and the Republic of Ireland. A wide variety of opinions on the nature and origin of UFO landing accounts are featured in full and unedited providing a fascinating outlook from the British UFO research community. There are many fascinating and bizarre UFO landing cases featured in this book all of which have confirmed, like they did in 1980, that the author is not wasting his time investigating this phenomenon which he has done now for over forty years.

Philip Mantle is an international UFO researcher, lecturer and broadcaster. His books have been published in six different languages around the world.
He is the former Director of Investigations for the British UFO Research Association and former MUFON representative for England. Philip has written articles and features for numerous publications around the world and has been both editor and assistant editor of high street UFO publications. He is the founder of FLYING DISK PRESS and works from his home in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Episode 15 of Paranormal Stories. This week the books I'm reading from are 'We Don't Die: A Skeptic's Discovery of Life After Death' by Sandra Champlain and 'Incident at Devils Den' by Terry Lovelace.
Terry Lovelace 'Incident at Devils Den'.
This is my true story. Written by Terry Lovelace, a 64-year-old lawyer and former assistant attorney general. In 2012 a routine X-ray of my leg found an anomalous bit of metal the size of a fingernail with two tiny wires attached. What followed were horrific nightmares, spontaneous recall and intrusive thoughts surrounding a 1977 camping trip I took with a friend to Devils Den State Park in Northern Arkansas. For fear of losing my job and my standing in the legal community, I've kept this secret for 40 years. But the 2012 discovery of this object, one and one-half inches deep in my thigh, initiated a flood of nightmares I could not control.
My poor health and the horrific memories were the catalysts to come forward and finally disclose what happened back in 1977. My friend and I were on a two-day camping trip to photograph eagles and wildlife. Rather than stay in the campground we chose to drive deep into an isolated area and set-up our camp on a high plateau that offered a scenic view of the wilderness. Late in the evening of our first night in camp, a group of three very bright stars in the western sky caught our attention. Arranged in a triangle configuration we speculated as to what it could be? We eliminated aircraft lights due to the triangle configuration. Then it moved. The three stars rotated as if on an axis and slowly ascended upward. As it rose the three points of light spread apart, each equidistant to the others. The stars grew larger and brighter.
As the triangle passed over stars they would blink-out for a moment and then blink-back again as it moved over them. The area inside the triangle was black, darker than the night sky. As the points expanded they were eventually devouring entire fields of stars as it traveled higher and moved closer to our camp. It eventually halted directly over us. It was huge. A third of the sky was covered by this black triangle overhead without a single star in between the three points. It was as if someone had cut an enormous triangle out of a sky filled with a billion stars. It descended until it was about thirty feet over the floor of the meadow. The size of the object was unbelievable. Each side of the triangle was a city block in length. I estimated its height at fifty feet or more. The size of a five-story office building, it sat motionless above the floor of the meadow. What followed was a horrific abduction experience. We both suffered badly from burns and dehydration and were hospitalized for two nights.
I was interviewed by special agents from the USAF Security Police's "OSI" or Office of Special Investigations. They mistakenly believed I had photographed the object and I was viciously interrogated by two of their special agents. They demanded my film. My home and car were searched by consent and I was hypnotized to assist my recall. It was a nightmare that left my wife and me sour on the whole UFO and the allegations surrounding our experience. I never intended to tell anyone. But the events of 2012 opened a door to memories about the abduction experience I had long forgotten and had no desire to even remember. In 2016 and in poor health I decided it was the right time to disclose everything I knew and everything we experienced. The piece of metal in my leg was the genesis of this story. There is so much more that happened.

Terry Lovelace is a six year veteran of the USAF where he served as a medic and EMT from 1973 to 1979. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from Park University in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a law degree from Western Michigan and passed the Michigan State Bar Examination. He was also admitted to the bar in Vermont and the US Territory of American Samoa. His legal career began in private practice until his appointment as an assistant attorney general for the U.S. Territory of American Samoa, he also served as State’s Attorney for Vermont Board of Medical Practice until his 2012 retirement.
He and a friend were abducted from Devils Den State Park in NW Arkansas in June 1977 while remote camping. They were both on active duty at the time. What followed were 40+ years of nightmares, phobias, and PTSD-like issues which continue to this day.
In 2012 a routine leg x-ray discovered two anomalous objects in his leg. The x-rays are on his website at terrylovelace.com. That event was his catalyst to write two books and speak publicly about his experiences.
For fear of losing his job and the respect of his peers in the legal community, he waited until 2018 to self-publish INCIDENT AT DEVILS DEN, a #1 Bestseller on Amazon with 700+ Reviews at 4.8/5.0. His second book, DEVILS DEN: THE RECKONING was published the week of Christmas 2020. It was #1 in New Releases immediately and hit #1 Bestseller status on February 10th.
His abduction story was featured in the UK Newspaper, THE GUARDIAN on September 12, 2021.
He was a guest lecturer with Leslie Kean, Author and NY Times contributor at Rice University in Houston, Texas in November 2019.

As you may know I produce two podcasts, the past lives podcast and the Alien UFO Podcast and it is here that I combine the two.
When I have guests on my podcasts I read their books to research and work out questions for the episodes.
When reading these books I always find such fascinating information which never makes it into the podcast and here I get a chance to give you a peek into the book.

We live in an extremely exciting time in which life after death has been proven by scientific research, clinical studies, and firsthand experiences. Deeply knowing that life continues after the body dies is a HUGE key to living fully and fearlessly during your earthly experience.
For the first time in human history, you can know – without a doubt – that life after death is real. The collective evidence validates afterlife teachings by religious and spiritual groups over the millennia. You can now breathe a huge sigh of relief, release all fear that death is an end, and enjoy the greatest life you have envisioned.
Mark worked in hospitals part-time while completing his pre-med studies and attending theology school. Don Donderi - 'Truth, Lies and ETs: How We Stumbled into the Universe'.

Don Donderi was educated at the University of Chicago, which he entered at 15. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at 18 and a B.Sc. in biological psychology at 21. He began his professional career as a research psychologist with IBM where he helped to develop radar navigation displays for the B-52 bomber. After graduating from Cornell University with a PhD in experimental psychology he joined the Faculty of Science of McGill University, where he taught undergraduate psychology, trained PhD students and served as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research. He retired from McGill in 2009 after a career of 47 years. He has written over one hundred basic research papers and technical reports dealing with the science of human visual perception and memory, co-authored one textbook and edited another. He co-founded a Toronto-based ergonomics consulting company and has carried out applied research and development projects for private and government clients on topics including flight instrumentation, flight simulation, marine navigation in ocean and arctic environments, nuclear safety and chemical process engineering. His entire career has been in the mainstream of science and engineering.

This week I'm talking to Dr. Mark Pitstick about his book 'The Afterlife Evidence: Comforting and Convincing Proof That No One Really Dies'.

As you may know I produce two podcasts, the past lives podcast and the Alien UFO Podcast and it is here that I combine the two. When I have a guests on my podcasts I read their books to research and work out questions for the episodes.

Paranormally Speaking: Knowingly Talking to the Unknown is a philosophical and satirical straight forward insight into the post taboo world of paranormal research and investigation as told by ITC and DRV Researcher, Ron “The Yacman” Yacovetti. With an eclectic background in stand-up comedy, broadcasting and over a decade of paranormal experience, Ron takes a pull no punches approach to important and sometimes underrecognized issues such as code of conduct, evidence review, reverence for our founders, the need for continuous education as well as the critical question we should all be asking ourselves, “Why am I doing this?”.
This book spotlights the mystical and methodical ways to communicate with spirits, an area of study that captured Ron’s focus early on, called ITC: Instrumental Transcommunication, with an emphasis on the European methodology almost entirely absent from the TV and internet landscape of shows, known as DRV: Direct Radio Voice.

This diversity in residence gave him the opportunity to investigate some of the most notable haunts on both coasts including The Queen Mary, The Oman House, The Shanley Hotel, Whitehill Mansion, The Glen Tavern Inn several times each.
He has a unique background as a stand up comedian, MMA Commentator, a writer and Paranormal Investigator. Ron has hosted and interviewed a variety of fields driven by a genuine love of connecting with others.
While Ron enjoys all aspects of investigating, his affinity and area of specificity in the afterlife research is ITC Instrumental Trans-Communication. The area of study is most known in the the United States for a variety of devices seen on TV such as the Ovilus, Spirit Box, or Ghost Boxes.
While Ron has and continues to use those devices and mobile apps leaving no method unexplored, he has spent two years doing innovative afterlife research experimentation, rooted in the European methodologies of ITC known as DRV: DIRECT RADIO VOICES. A look at how OPUS, the Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support came about to help people with their paranormal experiences and the paranormal phenomenon of Alien Contact and the physiological and psychological characteristics along with the latest UAP information presented by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Bio
Les Velez is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Beginning in September of 1970 he served in the US Army as a field artillery officer and, upon his honorable discharge, joined Luscombe Engineering, a Silicon Valleybased manufacturer’s representative company and was vice president until his retirement in 2017.
In 1991, Les joined MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, and has held the following positions: Field investigator, Training coordinator for field investigators, the Assistant State Director in
Northern California, Chairman of MUFON’s Abduction Experiencer Research Committee, and team leader of the Abduction Response Team and presently holds the position of research consultant for the Experiencer Resource Team.
He presented at the MUFON Symposium in Denver in 2009 on the proper procedures to use in an abduction investigation.
In 1991, he started facilitating an abduction support group in San Jose, California, and in 1994
co-founded OPUS, the Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support.

As you may know I produce two podcasts, the past lives podcast and the Alien UFO Podcast and it is here that I combine the two. When I have a guests on my podcasts I read their books to research and work out questions for the episodes.

Mike Clelland's 2015 book, The Messengers, was met with high praise. In it he explores the mysterious connection between owls, synchronicities, and UFO abduction. It was his first-hand experiences with these elusive events that have been the foundation for his research. The book is also a personal memoir, and a journey of self discovery.
The Owls
Owls seem to a play a shadowy role in the UFO contact experience. They also show up in relation to highly charged events like synchronicities, ancient archetypes, dreams, shamanic initiation, magic, psychedelic hallucination, spiritual transformation, and death. I explore the owl and its connection with these divergent ideas in The Messengers, my first book on UFOs. That book was also my own story of how owls played a role in my life. It was an exploration into the deeply personal questions that arose from my contact experiences.
The process of creation was a journey of transformation, and I was a different person when the book was completed.
The Journey
I've come to see the entirety of these experiences as both real and unreal. It's as if reality itself is acting as a metaphor, and it's happening for some profound reason. The reason is to wake me up, to make certain that I open my eyes. I'll also say that all these experiences, or maybe the intelligence behind them, have conspired to make me write these books. That's a bold thing to say, but that's how it feels. I have tried to let go and allow the deeper stories to emerge. Like sleeping under the stars on a desert night, this work has been an act of surrendering.
Mike is also considered an expert in the skills of ultralight backpacking, and is the author and illustrator of a series of instructional books on advanced outdoor techniques. After 25 years living in the Rockies, he now lives in the Adirondacks.
The Messengers: Owls, Synchronicity and the UFO Abductee

Bio
David Rippy is an inspirational author and speaker who seeks to help people live their best lives. At age 25 in the midst of beginning a career at a Fortune 50 company, Dave's life changed dramatically when a car accident left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.
Despite this life-altering injury, he formulated a vision for his life. He became determined to fulfill his ambition to become a money manager—and he did. David went on to have a long and successful career, working at both Merrill Lynch and The Vanguard Group. After achieving his own dreams, Dave wanted to help others to reach their own goals and live their best lives in spite of the facing the greatest hardships of their lives. Each of his three books addresses a different facet of existence: the mental, the physical, and the spiritual.
He introduces readers to his story of a devastating spinal cord injury and the road to becoming successful in Captain of My Soul: Mastering a Destiny Altered. Then he offers the reader concrete guidelines for living better that’s geared toward the disabled yet strings together pearls of wisdom proving valuable for everyone in Powering Through Paralysis: How to Survive & Thrive with Disability or Disease. He takes the reader on a spiritual odyssey of his own explorations of the afterlife via transcriptions of particularly powerful sessions from his hypnotism practice in The Immortal Soul: The Journey to Enlightenment and in the book Meeting Jesus: Hypnotically Regressed Clients Explore their Past Lives & Encounters with Archangels & Ascended Masters. David's most recent book, Texas Blue Moon, is his first novel.
