    According to the American Psychological Association, about 2.5% of the population meets the diagnostic criteria for Hoarding Disorder. The three most common characteristics are difficulty letting go of material possessions, excessive or compulsive acquisition of new items, and the inability to prevent clutter. In this episode, Naeemah chats with Carolina Harvey, the Lead Organizer on the show Hoarders. They chat about her experience on the show and working with clients who have hoarding disorder.

    Carolina Harvey is the founder and owner of Cure the Clutter. As a professional organizer and productivity expert, she has led clients in reaching their organizing and decluttering goals for nearly 14 years. From her time merchandising clothing in New York City to managing a premier interior decorating store in Massachusetts, Carolina has always desired to use the space that she is entrusted with as efficiently as possible.

    Her years of experience with hoarders and the chronically disorganized along with her compassionate and caring nature have given her the ability to serve, coach, and encourage her clients into having spaces and lives they can thrive in and enjoy.

    Carolina has worked on the Emmy Nominated and Critics Choice Television Award-winning series Hoarderson A & E for 3 seasons and is the newest addition to the show as a Lead Organizing Expert.

    Moms Talk Autism with NeCole Reese Jun 28, 2022

    According to the CDC about 1 in 44 children have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this episode, Naeemah and NeCole Reese chat about their sons being on the spectrum and how they manage time, protect their energy and navigate through life as moms of children with ASD.

    NeCole Reese is a native of San Diego, CA. Her academic career began at Xavier University of Louisiana; New Orleans, Louisiana where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2003. She also holds a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Chaplaincy from Liberty University; Lynchburg, Virginia. She has served in the United States Army for almost 19 years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and is currently stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. She has completed two overseas assignments in Germany and Korea and has also served in Silver Spring, MD. She is currently gearing up for retirement in August of next year. Outside of her service to the military, NeCole has committed her life to serving Christ. In 2019, she was ordained as a Pastor. She has always felt the call to minister to those in need, especially outside the confines of a church building. Specifically, God has given her a heart for Women’s and Special Needs Ministries. She is also an advocate for Mental Health and Autism awareness. She is a published author, recently contributing a chapter in an anthology entitled, “In My Father’s House”. The book follows four authors who demonstrate the truth of God’s promises through their own individual testimonies. NeCole has one son, Rowan-Xavier (17) who is a living testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness as he triumphs over Autism daily.

    Jeannie Stith matches people to their ideal color palette for clothing so they can look better, simplify clothes shopping, and create a coordinated wardrobe.     Have you ever thought about getting a custom closet? Wondering if you should DIY or hire a pro? In this episode, Naeemah talks about her background as a custom closets designer and the benefits of getting a closet makeover.

    Naeemah Ford Goldson is a Certified Professional Organizer® and the owner of Restore Order Professional Organizing. In addition to her professional endeavors, Naeemah founded the National Association of Black Professional Organizers, a non-profit that seeks to empower BIPOC professional organizers. She is a member of NAPO, and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD) and has received certificates of study in Chronic Disorganization, Time Management & Productivity, and ADHD. Naeemah is also the author of Tidy Tessa, a children's book that teaches kids how to organize their things.


    Naeemah is a custom closet designer who specializes in transforming spaces. She has designed hundreds of areas around the home, including closets, pantries, home offices, garages, media centers, mudrooms, and playrooms.


    Naeemah has a Bachelor's in Broadcasting from the University of Nebraska and worked in the media industry before starting Restore Order in 2013.


    Naeemah is an Organizing Expert on local and national television, and in print media. She has previously written for the Omaha World-Herald's Momaha Blog, and has also contributed to articles for Good Housekeeping, Martha Stewart Living, Heavy.com, Realtor, New York Mag, and Sisters from AARP. She has a feature in Voyage ATL and was cast in the very first episode of AOL's Extreme Organizers. She also appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show where she offered tips on closet organization.

In this episode, Naeemah chats with YouTuber Kay Patterson, creator of The Organized Soprano channel. They talk about how she's been able to help people love their homes with her inspiring channel content.


    Kay Patterson is a professional home organizer and host of the YouTube channel, The Organized Soprano where she creates content to inspire and help others love their surroundings. Kay has been helping clients get organized for years. As a longtime Container Store employee, she fell in love with the organizing process and enjoyed helping customers solve their organizing conundrums. In 2016, she began sharing her passion for organizing with the world on YouTube and has produced over 600 videos on the channel which have been viewed more than 8 million times. Kay has contributed to publications including Better Homes and Gardens, Real Simple, and Consumer Reports and has worked with brands including Extra Space Storage, Cricut, Shark, and Marriot to celebrate the benefits of organized spaces.
