    Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is set to kick off on June 5 at 10am PT (10:30pm IST) and the company is expected to announce its first mixed reality headset, a device that isn't expected to be available until later this year.

    This week on Orbital, the Gadgets 360 podcast, senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto and Orbital guest host Roydon Cerejo get together to discuss all the leaks, rumours, and news coverage ahead of Apple's 34th WWDC event.

    At WWDC 2023, we can expect to see Apple announce the purported Reality Pro headset as well as new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. The company is also expected to unveil a new operating system for Apple's mixed reality headset that will reportedly be called xrOS.

    Motorola Edge 40 first impressions May 31, 2023

    The midrange smartphone segment in India is very competitve with manufacturers offering a variety of specifications. Motorola claims that its latest handset is the world's thinnest 5G phone with an IP68 rating.

    On this week's episode of Orbital, the Gadgets 360 podcast, resident smartphone expert Pranav Hegde teams up with Orbital host Siddharth Suvarna to talk about the Motorola Edge 40.

    With a dual rear camera setup, 68W Turbo Power wired charging, and a curved 144Hz OLED display, the Motorola Edge 40 has a lot to offer.     Google I/O recap: Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, new AI tools arrive May 17, 2023

    Google I/O 2023 kicked off earlier this week and the search giant wasted no time in telling us that it cares about AI. This year, Google is going to supercharge its apps, services, and Android operating system with AI technology.

    The company also launched the Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet at the event. As of now, only the midrange Pixel 7a will be sold in India, according to the company.

    OnePlus Pad first impressions: Looks good, feels better May 03, 2023

    OnePlus has launched several handssets over the years since the first OnePlus One, branching out into other product categories includinng audio products, TVs, and wearables. The company recently launched its first tablet in India.

    With the new OnePlus Pad that is sold in a Halo Green colour option, the Chinese firm has stepped into unknown territory, in a market dominated by Apple's iPad.

    Gadgets 360 senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto who has spent some time with the OnePlus Pad talks to Orbital host Pranav Hegde to discuss the company's new tablet and how it fares against the competition.

    Vivo X90 Pro: Vivo giveth and Vivo taketh away Apr 28, 2023

    Vivo's latest X series phone was launched in India earlier this week. The new Vivo X90 Pro arrives as the successor to last year's Vivo X80 Pro. Both of these handsets have been reviewed on Gadgets 360.

    The Vivo X90 Pro comes with some notable hardware upgrades, especially to the primary camera sensor. However, some features found on last year's Vivo X80 Pro are nowhere to be found on this year's model.

    Xiaomi 13 Ultra to Apple's New Stores — a tech news recap Apr 21, 2023

    Earlier this week, Apple opened its first store in India. Several years after Apple launched its first product in the country, the CEO of the Cupertino company visited India to inaugurate new stores in Mumbai and Delhi.

    Chinese smartphone makers also released new devices this week — Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the company's top-of-the-line handset with flagship specifications made its debut in China, while Vivo launched new foldables, the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip. There's no word on when these devices will make their way to India.

    This week, there were nultiple reports that Apple's upcoming iPhone models will feature the Dynamic Island but won't feature the rumoured solid state buttons. Google might also unveil its first foldable phone next month, according to recent reports. Only time will tell if these handsets will make their debut in India.

    Apple Store Finally Comes to India: Here's What You Can Expect Apr 14, 2023

    Apple is finally opening Apple Stores in India. The first Apple Store in India, dubbed Apple BKC, is scheduled to open on April 18 in Mumbai. Apple has also announced that it'll be opening a second store in Saket, New Delhi, on April 20.

    Executive editor Jamshed Avari and senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto join Orbital host Pranav Hegde to discuss the Apple Store opening in India and what it means to the consumers.

    The first Apple Store is opening in Mumbai at the Jio World Drive mall in Bandra Kurla Complex. The store is simply called Apple BKC, and is clad in barricades that are inspired by the art seen on the famous Kali-peeli taxis of Mumbai. The second store, Apple Saket, is opening in Saket, New Delhi, and this one has barricades that showcase the various historial gates in Delhi.

    There have been several interesting phones and tech that were announced in the first quarter of 2023.
