The boys are back on the bench for Episode 456, and this week things go completely off the rails in the best way possible. It starts with a quick Vrabel update — yes, he missed most of the NFL Draft for family counseling, and yes, the guys have thoughts. Lots of them.

Then things get delicious. A Cincinnati Reds pitcher delivered one of the best moments in recent sports history when he struck out his 11th batter of the game to unlock free pizza for every single fan in the stands — courtesy of LaRosa's Family Pizzeria. The crowd reaction is something else.

From there the guys stumble into a full-blown pie ranking debate after a massive tiramisu story: 100 Italian chefs in London just broke a Guinness World Record by assembling a tiramisu stretching 1,445 feet long. That leads to a passionate argument about Bob Roth's New River Groves blueberry pie, whether tiramisu is actually elite, and what everyone's all-time favorite pie is.

The second half of the show is all fun questions — who would you be CEO of, which celebrity does everyone find attractive but you don't (Selena Hayek takes a shot), worst muscle cramp locations, old-school board games, and the best Christmas toy you ever got. **Dan Rad is stepping away, nine Hurricanes just got drafted, and Miami fans somehow found something to complain about anyway. Par for the course.**
The boys are back with a loaded episode 455. First up — the Dan Radakovich era is officially closing and the name circulating for Athletic Director is Michael Yormark, the guy with the Rock Nation resume and a twin brother running the Big 12. The crew breaks down what kind of AD Miami actually needs right now (hint: less CEO, more CMO/CFO hybrid), and why the NIL fundraising job matters a whole lot more than the traditional stuff.
Then it's full draft recap mode. Nine Hurricanes taken — Francis at 10, Reuben Bain at 15, Akeem at 22, Carson Beck, Markel Bell, Jacoby Thomas, Kete Scott, Cooper and CJ Daniels all hearing their names called. The guys go pick by pick on landing spots, who's got a real shot to start early, and why CJ Daniels to the Rams might be the sneaky best placement of the whole class.
Plus — the Reuben Bain viral draft moment (he walked right past the mirror and didn't even stop), the Arizona Cardinals calling the wrong number on their third overall pick, Mark Matthews and the Texas A&M recruiting drama, and the Brendan Sorsby situation at Texas Tech — a gambling addiction story that had Miami all-in before the wheels came completely off. Instead of Canes in the Draft, epic Spring Game showings and veiled Manny Diaz shots... we're talking about parachuting accidents, weiners in the air and weiners at the prom... it's OBB Benched!

The boys are back and this week we're skipping the NFL Draft talk and spring game analysis to get into the REAL stories of the week: parachuting disasters, wieners in the sky, wieners at the prom, and a press conference apology that raised more questions than it answered.

Coach Mike Vrabel finally addressed the media this week following ongoing speculation about his personal life, and the guys break down his "positive and productive" press conference — including who actually gets that apology, and how the New England Patriots remain the most scandalous franchise in NFL history (from murder to deflate-gate to massage parlors, it's all there).

Then — did you see the Virginia Tech Spring Game? A parachutist carrying the American flag got blown off course and ended up tangled at the TOP of the scoreboard. The game was delayed. A 75-foot ladder truck showed up. It was five feet too short. The guys walk through the whole chaotic scene and debate whether the game should have just continued anyway.

In "wiener" news (yes, plural): The Finnish Air Force has grounded pilots for using their flight radar to draw giant penises in the sky — and the boys have thoughts on Finland's Air Force in general. Plus: a group of Kansas high schoolers from a school called Seamen High School took the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile to their senior prom. Absolutely perfect.

Instead of Spring practice hype, high profile recruits or college football rules ... we're talking about reporters canoodling with coaches, teleporting FEMA officials and the Weiner Wallet... welcome to OBB Benched!

Episode 450 is a special one — and it has absolutely nothing to do with college football. This week the guys dive headfirst into the Diana Russini / Mike Vrabel situation: Page Six photos, poolside hand-holding, a hot tub, and a trip down internet memory lane that surfaced some truly wild old clips. From calling herself a MILF on a DC morning radio show, to casually announcing on national TV that she did things in Miami she never told her husband about, to publicly calling her husband "average" — the internet has been busy.

Then things get weird. The Artemis moon launch leads to a CNN kid dropping an all-time live TV moment, followed by the greatest moon landing conspiracy rant ever recorded — delivered by what can only be described as someone's very loud Italian father from New Jersey. You'll hear him. You'll understand.

From there: Congressman Matt Gaetz's UFO briefing about alien-human hybrid breeding programs. A FEMA official who claims he was teleported 40 miles and ended up in a ditch outside a Baptist church on his way to Waffle House. Landline phones at Augusta National. And whether anyone actually knows their family's phone numbers anymore.

To close it out, the Madison Mallards unveil the Wiener Wallet — a single hot dog holster with a condiment pouch — and a Milwaukee news team absolutely cannot hold it together covering it. Then it's Five Questions: wild animal pets (tiger vs. honey badger vs. gorilla), the male version of receiving flowers, 80s trends worth bringing back, a film you'd want to see again for the first time, and the most oddly specific things your pets do.

Greg is a blackout drunk. You're welcome.

We open the show by talking about the upcoming Spring Game which is already sold out - even though it's only at Cobb Stadium, which doesn't seat all that many people. As we get down to Greentree, the question is could Miami have hit lightning twice with Wingo coming in and a freshman and turning so many heads? Scoop also interrupts Greentree for real estate story time, where he got to singing at a recent showing that led to re-releasing all of his band's old music on a bunch of platforms. (The band's name is Releese if you want to find them!)

Roman also tweeted out this week that Miami is in "reload season" and as we look down the line-up of guys getting drafted compared to all the new guys coming in, it's impressive how much they've been able to sustain compared to how much they lost. And that speaks to the new culture they've built in Miami, especially seeing guys who are headed to the pros come back to work with the new guys at Spring practice. Plus we showcase a little of Mario's appearance on Josh Pate's show, speaking on when the season changed for Miami last year, and how the guys feel it will change going into this year.

And as we get further down the depth chart, the discussion about Judd rising up to the 2 spot at QB takes over, with what to expect from Dereon going forward and what it means for his future in Miami. We also hear from Cooper Barkate, who while training in LA talked about the wild transfer process from Duke while Mensah was getting sued. Toast also shines the spotlight on some of the standout freshmen making a name for themselves at Spring practice.

Audio of the week comes to us from the WILD UConn comeback and upset over Duke, as we play both the UConn call (which was awful) and the Duke call (which was borderline hilarious), spinning us into a debate who reigns supreme in Toast's fandom. And the hilarious moment at the Elite Eight where the shot clock horn got stuck.
