    Ep 150: The West Wing: S2, E7-10 Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

Hosts Amanda and Maggie are here to break down everything that went down in The West Wing Season 2, Episodes 7 through 10. From major White House plot twists to the character arcs that left us completely speechless, we dive deep into the heart of these episodes. We share our unfiltered reactions to the storylines and predict exactly what these developments mean for the future of the Bartlet administration. But you know they can't stick strictly to the script. This block of episodes features chaotic tangents about vegetable gardens, a run on Fresca at Sam's Club, and the girls include an on-camera taste test of a traditional New York egg cream Plus, they are pull back the curtain on The West Wing behind-the-scenes history. They obsess over all things Ainsley Hayes and break down Josh Lyman's intense arc in the iconic Christmas episode "Noël." And execuse us, but does the President have a knife made by Paul Freakin' Revere? Yes, Yes he does. Whether you are here for the deep-dive episodic analysis or just the laugh-out-loud studio banter, this wrap-up has something for every show fan. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a review. It fees their egos and the algorithm!

    Ep 149: The West Wing, S2 E3-6 Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

This week we're deep in Season 2 of The West Wing (episodes 3-6) and there's a lot to unpack. We break down why Ainsley Hayes might be the perfect narrative foil for Sam Seaborn, and get into a real debate about who exactly John Larroquette is to each of us. Somewhere along the way, we also plan our dream beach vacation and make a case for bringing jazzercise back — don't ask, just listen.

We also get into the chemistry between POTUS and FLOTUS, because Bartlet is clearly obsessed with his wife, and we have thoughts on what that roleplay probably looks like (spoiler: think Grease, but make it presidential). And in true Sorkin fashion, we talk about how this fictional administration somehow feels more functional and more democratic than a lot of real ones — then and now.

If you're rewatching The West Wing or discovering it for the first time, this episode has the character analysis, the tangents, and the "wait, we need to talk about this" moments that made you fall for the show in the first place.

    Ep 148: The West Wing, S1 E21-22 & S2 E1-2 Jul 20, 2026
    Show notes

We're deep in the chaos of Rosslyn and we have THOUGHTS. In this episode of Only Show Fans, your favorite TV recap comedy podcast, we're breaking down The West Wing Season 1 Episodes 21 and 22 and Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2, aka the episodes that had the entire nation asking "who got shot?"

    Here's what we're getting into:

Aaron Sorkin literally did not know who was going to get assassinated when he wrote it. We're not kidding. The man was making it up as he went and somehow it's one of the greatest cliffhangers in television history.

A cast member actually got run over filming the Rosslyn scene. Yes, really. We have feelings about this.

The eternal debate: Sam Seaborn vs Josh Lyman. Pick a side. We did.

Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford are simply built different. We break down why every single scene they're in becomes instantly iconic regardless of who they're talking to.

Whether you're a die hard West Wing fan doing a rewatch, discovering the show for the first time, or just here because you love a good TV recap with your favorite sisters-in-law, this episode is for you.

Listen to Only Show Fans on Apple, Spotify, or anywhere else you get your podcasts. And don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a review. It genuinely helps more than you know. 🎙️

    Show notes

What's better on a hot summer day than listening to a West Wing Recap podcast and dreaming of some tasty Josh Lymanciello? Not much, that's for sure. The girls talk more about Sam and Josh-will Maggie ever come aroud to Sam? I guess you'll have to keep listening to find out. They also talk about some juicy behind the scenes gossip. And Maggie makes a case for more live performance opportunities amongst friends. And Amanda takes her up on it with her one live version of a beloved rap from the 90s.

    Ep 146: The West Wing, S1 E13-16 Jun 29, 2026
    Show notes

The girls are more than halfway thru season 1 and Maggie is still all in on the best political procedural that ever was. They talk about Maggie's love for teeth, songs you can and can't sing anymore, and what new body part of Amanda has been diagnosed as double-jointed. They're creeping up on the end of Season 1 (IYKYK) so it's not too late to rewatch with them and join in on the fun. And if you're enjoying this podcast, don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a review. It feeds the algorithm, and their egos!

    Ep 145: The West Wing, S1 E9-12 Jun 22, 2026
    Show notes

Four more episodes! Or four more years? Episodes 9-12 really packed a punch (and almost got Josh Lyman punching people) in the first season of The West Wing. Amanda and Maggie talk about how they'd decorate The White House if they were in charge, whether or not they'd follow their boss's orders, and the difference between a real easter egg and a hypothetical easter egg. And Amanda's temporary foster dog has A LOT to say about this episode. He's only visiting for a week, so this is the first and last you'll hear of his hot takes...this dog needs it's on PupCast! If you're loving this podcast (I mean how could you not) then make sure to like subscribe, and leave a review. It really feeds the algorthims and their egos!

    Ep 144: The West Wing, S1 E5-8 Jun 15, 2026
    Show notes

Laced up and stompin' in their Air Force Ones, Amanda and Maggie are cruisin' at an altitude where they can take in the sights and sounds of the Bartlett Administration. They discuss problematic characters and problematic actors, who they would leave behind when given a nuclear "get out of jail free" card, and the best places for people to visit when it's their first time coming to America. And who knew that both the girls are GreaseHeads™? When they both found out, they got chills...and they were multiplying! Maggie takes the mic when they land at prediction town and serves up some beefy plot twists that would make even Leo McGary rearrange his already chaotic schedule.

If you're a West Winger, jump back in and rewatch the only administration worth acknoledging right now. And if you're enjoying this podcast, don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a review! It really feeds their egos, and the algorithm!

    Ep 143: The West Wing, S1 E1-4 Jun 08, 2026
    Show notes

As the girls jump back into a deep dive of one of the best tv shows ever made, they're hardly winging it. They've got hot thoughts! They've got depos! They've got quizzes! And a new, fancier way to get to prediction town. They talk about the ideal job for a president JUST before they become president, they talk about kids trolling parents on social media, and how they would spind a presidential biking accident for the public. The votes are in, and they are ALL IN on the only administration they are giving any attention to these days, the Bartlett Administration!

Make sure to follow them on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. And please leave a review...it feeds the algorithm, and their egos!

EP 142: We're Going WEST (WING!) It's Where Our Fortunes Lie Jun 03, 2026
    Show notes

That's right. Or left, should we say. We're going back to our roots to deep dive on another show that has long since left the air but will never leave our hearts. The West Wing. The most beloved political procedural of all times. Hop back in and watch it again or relish in your memories of the show and just soak it in. It's a show so nice Amanda has watched it twice and a show so great that Maggie is watching it late. IYKYK.

Make sure to subscribe for our weekly recaps of The West Wing and please leave a review. It helps the algortihm feed this show up to all the people who NEED to hear and see it and more importantly, it feeds our egos. And for that, we thank you!

Ep 141: Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat May 11, 2026
    Show notes

Court is in session for this next round of TV pranks when the girls review the newest Jury Duty: Company Retreat. It's so wild, it's so well done, and it's such a great watch/binge. They talk about when they would have discoverd it was a prank, when (or if) they'll ever cast a woman as the hero to be pranked, and what cast could they be thrown into and have zero idea who any of the key players are. It's a must watch from both of them. And just like the twist at the end of Jury Duty, Maggie and Amanda reveal a twist of their own at the very end.

If you're loving this show, (and they hope you are!) please make sure to like, subscribe, and leave a review! It really helps them and everyone loves to be a helper!!
