Steve Sarkisian: “Rasheem Biles Is a PROBLEM” — Texas’ Defense Just Got Scarier | Texas Football Aug 12, 2026

Show notes

Bobby Burton, Gerry Hamilton and Rod Babers reveal the two biggest positives emerging from the opening week of Texas fall camp. Rasheem Biles has become a major problem for the offense as Will Muschamp moves him around the formation, giving opponents another dangerous playmaker to locate alongside Colin Simmons. The Longhorns’ offensive firepower has also lived up to the hype, with Arch Manning surrounded by explosive weapons capable of transforming last season’s inconsistent attack.

The crew also examines the two questions Texas must answer before facing Ohio State: left guard and the second safety position. Can Laurence Seymore overtake Dylan Sikorski once the pads begin popping, and is Derek Williams healthy enough to secure the job alongside Jelani McDonald? Plus, they evaluate the alternatives at safety and explain why improved line play, fewer penalties and more explosive runs will be essential against the nation’s toughest schedule.

3 Things You NEED TO KNOW About Texas' RB Room | Longhorns Football | Steve Sarkisian Aug 11, 2026

Show notes

Jeff Howe, CJ Vogel and Hank South break down the three biggest developments in Texas’ revamped running back room. New position coach Jabbar Juluke wants the Longhorns to become the most violent runners in the country, and transfers Raleek Brown and Hollywood Smothers are bringing the physicality, versatility and proven production needed to take pressure off Arch Manning.

The biggest fall-camp riser may be freshman Derrek Cooper, whose pass protection, toughness and experience at linebacker have created an immediate path to playing time. The crew also reveals Brown’s surprising short-yardage success, explores Michael Terry’s potential role in two-back formations and explains why the Longhorns’ improved depth could make this rushing attack dramatically less predictable in 2026.

Rod Babers, CJ Vogel, Bob Shipley and Stevie Lee react to Steve Sarkisian’s eye-opening comparison of Cam Coleman to NFL legend Julio Jones following the receiver’s viral one-handed catch at Texas practice. The crew explains how Coleman’s catch radius, body control and vertical speed could transform the Longhorns’ offense while discussing Arch Manning’s growing confidence, his trash-talking exchange with Colin Simmons and the intense physicality taking over fall camp.

The conversation also examines Texas’ championship expectations, with the panel projecting a 10-2 or 11-1 regular season and debating why missing the College Football Playoff would be a catastrophe for such a talented roster. Plus, they identify under-the-radar freshmen making noise, break down the difficult matchups against Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU and Tennessee, and explain what must happen for Steve Sarkisian to produce his best offense yet in Austin.

4 Texas Freshmen Are FORCING Their Way Onto the Field! | Longhorns Football | Steve Sarkisian Aug 10, 2026

Show notes

Jeff Howe, Gerry Hamilton and CJ Vogel reveal the four true freshmen already positioned to earn meaningful snaps for Texas in 2026. The newest addition is linebacker Kosi Okpala, who has worked exclusively with the second team while showing the intelligence and versatility to play inside or fill Will Muschamp’s crucial overhang role. At 6-foot-3 and nearly 240 pounds, Okpala has quickly earned the defensive staff’s trust.

Edge rusher Richard Wesley could crack Texas’ loaded rotation, while Steve Sarkisian must find creative ways to put the ball in Jermaine Bishop’s hands. Physical running back Derrek Cooper also brings the violent style and contagious energy Texas lacked during difficult road games last season.

Plus, Cole Hutson begins his acclimation period, Derek Williams emerges as a defensive leader and freshman receiver Kohen Brown continues turning heads after surpassing 23 miles per hour during summer conditioning.
