Trevor Goosby Suffers Non-Contact Knee Injury — What We Know & Where Texas Goes | Steve Sarkisian Aug 18, 2026
    Show notes

Bobby Burton and Gerry Hamilton deliver the latest on All-American left tackle Trevor Goosby after he suffered a non-contact injury to his left knee during a Texas walkthrough. Goosby reportedly walked off the field without assistance, but the severity remains unknown as his family, the coaching staff and the medical team await MRI results. No diagnosis has been confirmed.

The guys examine how Texas could restructure its offensive line if Goosby misses extended time, including moving Melvin Siani to left tackle, returning Brandon Baker to right tackle or keeping Baker at guard and turning to one of the Longhorns’ young tackles. They also explain why losing Goosby would affect more than pass protection, as Texas would need to replace the leadership of the offensive line’s veteran anchor.

Good & Bad: Texas Ranked No. 5 — But Its Schedule Is an Absolute GAUNTLET | Steve Sarkisian Aug 17, 2026
    Show notes

Jeff Howe and CJ Vogel react to Texas landing at No. 5 in the preseason AP Top 25 and explain why the ranking feels fair for a team with legitimate national championship talent. The Longhorns open behind Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia and Notre Dame, setting up a massive top-five showdown with the Buckeyes in Austin. But with seven ranked opponents—including five inside the top 11—Texas faces one of the most difficult schedules in college football.

The guys compare Arch Manning’s situation with fellow contenders CJ Carr and Dante Moore, debate where the true championship tier ends and identify what separates Texas from the teams ranked ahead of it. With proven stars such as Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo, Colin Simmons and Raheem Biles, the talent is undeniable. Now the question is whether the Longhorns can handle the expectations, survive a brutal road schedule and execute well enough to reach the College Football Playoff.

    Steve Sarkisian RAVES About Texas’ New O-Line — “This Guy’s a TOUGH A**” | Texas Football | Arch Manning Aug 17, 2026
    Show notes

Jeff Howe and CJ Vogel react to Steve Sarkisian’s latest press conference and his eye-opening praise for transfer tackle Melvin Siani, whom Sark called a far more physical run blocker than expected. The guys explain why Siani, Trevor Goosby and Brandon Baker could give Texas an elite foundation up front, while providing the latest on Lawrence Seymour’s injury “hiccup” and the returns of Ty’Anthony Smith, Justice Terry, Brad Spence and John Meredith.

The conversation also examines Sark’s expanding circle of trust around Arch Manning, including Cam Coleman, Hollywood Smothers, Raleek Brown, Derrek Cooper and Texas’ deep receiver room. Plus, the crew breaks down Jonah Williams and Kobe Black strengthening the safety rotation, Will Muschamp’s commanding presence during the first scrimmage and what Texas must accomplish before its dress rehearsal and the massive No. 1 Ohio State showdown.

3 Players Who Could CHANGE the Depth Chart After Scrimmage No. 1 | Texas Football | Steve Sarkisian Aug 16, 2026
    Show notes

Jeff Howe, CJ Vogel and Hank South identify three Longhorns whose stock is rising after Texas’ first fall-camp scrimmage. Defensive lineman Maraad Watson emerged as one of the team’s best interior run defenders, while five-star freshman linebacker Tyler Atkinson took advantage of missing veterans to earn valuable snaps with the first-team defense.

The biggest winner may have been Jonah Williams, who intercepted a pass in the red zone and delivered multiple impressive open-field tackles. The crew explains why Williams’ healthy offseason could finally unlock his five-star potential, how Atkinson can climb a crowded linebacker depth chart and why Watson’s versatility could make him an essential piece of Will Muschamp’s defense.

Texas Has SO MANY PLAYMAKERS — Is This Sark’s Most Dangerous Offense Yet? | Arch Manning Aug 16, 2026
    Show notes

Jeff Howe, Bobby Burton and Gerry Hamilton break down the explosive playmakers emerging from Texas’ first fall-camp scrimmage. Cam Coleman continues to look like a future first-round receiver with his contested-catch ability, while Ryan Wingo, Jermaine Bishop and Emmett Mosley give the Longhorns remarkable depth. The running backs were equally impressive, as Raleek Brown, Hollywood Smothers and Derrek Cooper showed they can create explosive plays in both the running and passing games.

The crew explains why this collection of weapons could allow Steve Sarkisian to build his most versatile and difficult-to-defend offense at Texas. On defense, Colin Simmons dominated limited action with two potential sacks and a forced fumble, while Jonah Williams delivered an interception and an impressive open-field tackle. Can Texas turn all this firepower into a championship offense—and which emerging stars will secure major roles before the second scrimmage?

Ryan Wingo, Cam Coleman, Jermaine Bishop and Kohen Brown showcased the remarkable depth of the Longhorns’ receiver room, while Will Muschamp’s aggressive secondary answered with tight coverage, multiple interceptions and no reported major busts. Don’t PANIC About Arch Manning’s 2 INTs — Steve Sarkisian Explains Why | Texas Football Aug 15, 2026
    Show notes

Jeff Howe and CJ Vogel unpack Steve Sarkisian’s reaction to Texas’ first fall-camp scrimmage, where the defense narrowly won after intercepting Arch Manning twice. Sark provides important context for Manning’s uneven performance, including long gaps between snaps and his lack of live action since the Citrus Bowl, while praising Jonah Williams and Grayson Littleton for making outstanding plays. Despite the turnovers, all three Texas quarterbacks produced touchdowns.

The guys also break down an encouraging day for the offensive line and running game, Laurence Seymore opening at first-team left guard and freshman Derrek Cooper emerging as a physical playmaker who could demand meaningful snaps. Plus, Jermaine Bishop and Texas’ young linebackers take advantage of expanded opportunities as the Longhorns’ impressive depth begins to reveal itself ahead of the critical second scrimmage.
