    On Becoming

My name is Daniel Lim and this is the podcast where I explore the journey on becoming the best version of yourself. What it means to live a good life. In the areas of work, relationships and wellness.

The most important conversations during my journey are the conversations with myself. But I’m also fortunate to have had fascinating conversations with real people about real topics and real feelings that we all experience in our own lives. Stories are what brings us together. It’s through stories, that we find a common currency to connect and build relationships with people. It’s these relationships that we learn the most about the world around us and who we are. I’m sharing those conversations and stories with you.

New episodes Mondays. Listen anywhere you get your podcasts, and please rate and review the podcast if you enjoy it. Live life today focusing ON BECOMING.

    Show notes

Marvin Santos otherwise known as Tito Marvin is one of the few CrossFit Level 3 certified trainers but more importantly, someone I observe as a well grounded individual and whom I have the privilege of calling a good friend. And the micro and macro implications that result from a lack of understanding of other people as well as ourselves. Letting them practice. Erick talks about how it's not about how much money you want, but about your vision. And with that vision you will know how much money you need. Erick talks about how so many of us limit ourselves based on our past experiences.

Rachel Young | Gratitude and Accountability Sep 16, 2019
    Show notes

Rachel Young vowed to change her lifestyle after hitting the scale at nearly 200 lbs. She adopted a love for fitness, made a daily goal to push herself out of her comfort zone, educated herself on proper nutrition, and lost over 50 lbs. In the process she became a competitive CrossFit athlete, turning her passion for a healthy lifestyle into a career. She uses her experience to push her clients past their limits and to remind them to never give up. She is currently a CrossFit Level 2 coach at NCFit, a 63kg olympic weightlifter and accountability coach. Rachel is one of the most positive individuals that I know. We live in this world of gratitude. And while everyone is talking about gratitude, not many people actually live a life of gratitude. But Rachel does. On this episode, Rachel shares how the loss of her mom helped shape her mindset to live in the moment and the importance of paying it forward. We talk about the importance of being kind, not just to other people, but to yourself. And how you never want to strive for perfection.
