Recruiting is officially heating up after Oklahoma football picked up a commitment from Niko Jandreau, a safety from Chandler, Arizona. It's an exciting pickup because he also has another brother who is also highly regarded. Josh McCuistion is here to breakdown the latest on the recruiting trail as he and Carey are getting ready to go see Bowe Bentley this week. Big visits are also being lined up for summer camp. We also examine the OU offense and get into how we see this offensive line developing early in the 2025 season. And somehow we go down the rabbit hole of how awful last season's offense was. It's the offseason. Officially. George will also be living in Destin, Florida, the rest of this month for weddings and SEC meetings. And we won't have to listen to his panic in the office over the Thunder, who are doing just fine after a big win over Denver last night.

It's a stressful time in the office as the Thunder are down 0-1 and George's marriage may be riding on the outcome of tonight's game. We talk with Josh about what the commitment of Jared Curtis to Georgia means for OU's QB recruiting saga. Coaches are out on the road and making new offers all over the place. Are Jim Nagy and the OU personnel department looking to reshape this roster with different types of athletes? And what is up with the snails pace of recruiting commitments so far this offseason? We also welcome Eddie back from Mexico as he was stranded at a beautiful resort when he got the big On3 news last week. Carey also hates everything on George's wedding registry and wants to go off catalog to get a wedding gift. Go-carts are also potentially disastrous for a bachelor party.

George was under the weather today so we had an OG podcast with Carey, Josh and Eddie. It's been a busy week so we kind of used this podcast to clean up our thoughts on everything that's been going on lately. David Stone and the QB decision. Why shouldn't Ben Arbuckle be able to make his own choice at who he wants his QB to be? We also talked plenty of portal and looked ahead to where the Sooners could go next. The defensive line is a real strength that we probably haven't talked about enough. And coaches are all over the country visiting some of the top prospects on their board. U40: The portal is being good to Oklahoma Apr 16, 2025

With the announcement that Jake Maikkalu and Jaydn Ott signed with Oklahoma football the day before the portal officially opened, OU made a big statement that they are willing to do what it takes to get back on track. We talk about what the signings mean for the Sooners as well as what the portal still could hold in store. We also dive into where we are as a sport right now with Nico Iamaleava and why we feel better about OU's approach with Jim Nagy in this age of chasing the bag. Josh recaps the Houston Under Armour and we talk about Ben Arbuckle's 2007 quarterback and how far along he is in that process as well as where the Sooners stand with one of their top 2006 recruiting prospects. High School spring football gets set to start at a lot of schools in Texas. The baseball team got a big run rule over Oklahoma State last night and today is the day that Aalyah Chavez can officially sign with the Sooners.

The Unofficial 40 is back and we're ready for another magical time of the year as OU puts on their spring finale, the Masters is underway and we're on the verge of recruiting awesomeness with high school spring football and summer camps. But we've also had some interesting developments in the NIL space with the House vs. NCAA settlement being in the spotlight on Monday. What comes out of that? And does that bring us any closer to settling the mess that is NIL? Meanwhile, hoops is paying out some real money and landing big players in the portal. And we talk about the Crimson Combine. What might it look like? Is it worth attending? Here's a hint, we don't know, but what else are you gonna do with your $10 on a Saturday with perfect weather. The gang is back in the studio together on the heels of another football practice viewing. The linebacker group appears to be stacking some depth at the position even with the losses of Danny Stutsman to the NFL and Jaren Kanak to tight end. That's because Sammy Omosigho appears to be transitioning to the MIKE linebacker spot quite well. And players continually rave about Kendal Daniels being on campus. We also got to see some one-on-one battles but the Internet commentary might have been a little over the top after people saw the video. We have observations about Ben Arbuckle, Kevin Wilson and Brent Venables and how they react to things during practices. We also talk Trae Young being named an assistant GM for the basketball program and what that job description might look like. Josh is in with the latest in the recruiting world, especially the QB position. We also take a stab at who OU might look to land in the transfer portal this spring. We are getting ready for the Final Four in men's and women's hoops and the diamond sports had some losses this weekend. A big show this week! Dive in!

U40: We are back out at spring practices and women's hoops rules Mar 26, 2025

Josh is back from his cruise and in his absence, OU lost a running back battle to Texas A&M for Jonathan Hatton. Where does OU stand at the running back position? Could they be looking to the portal for their next big bruiser out of the backfield? Jennie Baranczyk also pulled off one of the biggest commitments in OU women's basketball history when Aaliyah Chavez, the nation's No. 1 player, committed to OU yesterday. And it seems more and more likely that Porter Moser will return to OU unless some things change quickly. How can OU improve their men's NIL to truly compete with the big boys? And we've got more impressions about the team after another viewing session on Tuesday. We also got to talk to several players after practice. You'll hear our impressions on the attitude of this team and the development of the offense. OU baseball has won both of its SEC series so far this season but it's about to get a lot tougher. U40: Breaking down everything we've seen and heard about spring practices Mar 12, 2025

Spring practices are in full spring as we've now had two viewing sessions and a Pro Day to take in since last week. Carey, Josh, Eddie and George breakdown what they've witnessed out on the practice fields and what they've been hearing behind the scenes. We go over the newcomers that have stood out, the players fans want to see more of that have been on campus, like Davon Mitchell, and basically cover our impressions from every position group up to this point.

Some players we thought were injured or limited are getting more action than we expected. We dive deep into what we're seeing from the offensive line and talk about what the starting lineup could look like coming out of spring. It's better to just dive into the podcast and hear for yourself. Josh updates with some recruiting updates and the guys were really impressed seeing Zane Row out at practice Monday. Kid is getting bigger and bigger every time we see him. We also talk about Trace Ford's impressive day out at Pro Day. Hoops is getting set to tip off tonight in Nashville and the women await their NCAA Tournament seeding after a good showing in the SEC Tourney.
