    In 1888, the residents of Paulding County finally had enough with an abandoned canal and stagnant reservoir near Antwerp that was breeding mosquitoes and filling the countryside with the stench of dead fish. When the state refused to eliminate the problem, a mob took on the task - even as the Ohio National Guard moved in to stop them.

    10-Minute Mystery: Sylvia Cabalic, Stacey Colbert Jul 28, 2022

    Sylvia Cabalic, a 24-year-old nurse and expectant mother, was raped and killed in her Cincinnati apartment building in 1974. Stacey Colbert, a 23-year-old marketing assistant, was kidnapped from her Columbus apartment in 1998 and found dead six years later. In each case, neighbors admitted to hearing the women being attacked, but chose to do nothing.
