Episode 71 - The Return of the Bear Oct 28, 2019

Show notes

Bear is back! Woot! We’d like to thank Mellified again for joining us last week, and warmly welcome Bear back to his rightful, well earned, and most deserved seat as co-host.

So… there isn’t much to talk about, but wait! There is! We have two new games that we have been falling in love with. Well, one new one and one “new to you” type one that we hadn’t played before even though it’s years old now.

Sit back and enjoy while we discuss The Outer Worlds (Not The Outer Wilds…) and Guild Wars 2!

Episode 70 - Mellified is back! Oct 20, 2019

Show notes

Returning this week is special guest Mellified. We do our best to fill the show with entertainment and information in Bear’s sorely felt absence.

We discuss some very technical details of Stadia, XCloud, and other gaming-related goodies.

Mellified brings his depth of knowledge to a show generally run by incompetent buffoons and wows with his use of big words and jargon.

You’ll remember from the last time that he joined us, Mellified has a rich history in gaming and technology. He worked at Blizzard for nearly 18 years on multiple projects including World of Warcraft and the rollout of BattleNet and is currently a director at Twitch.tv.

We appreciate Mellified taking the time out of his busy schedule to come and hang out with us.

Activision is being all Activisiony, Fortnite has changed their matchmaking algorithms in a huge way, and we have thoughts. Minecraft has a new Nether update coming, and we believe it’ll be super neato.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC! Woot! Finally! (Like either of us have a PC that’ll run it….)

PS4 System update looks nice. There’s an Android vulnerability, and we discuss whether or not you should be worried.

Episode 67 - Maybe Cricket is dying. Sep 29, 2019

Show notes

Cricket has been sick for like a week, and it shows in todays episode. We apologize.

Let’s spend some time discussing the merits and downfalls of digital distribution, as deals between Frogwares and Focus Home Interactive end, and some other games come down from Xbox, PS4 and PC digital stores.

There are new Games With Gold games coming, and Rockstar probably won’t give you $1m US because you asked for it.

We also discuss our Game Pass Roulette games, and answer some listener questions.

Copy of Episode 64 - Grinding to Gears 5 Sep 10, 2019

Show notes

We don’t get to jump into Gears 5 year, and we talk about the woes leading up to that letdown. We do however have some love for the GamePassRoulette (that’s a hint by the way…)

Cricket discussed Thomas Was Alone, Bear absolutely misrepresents Supermarket Shriek and we have a write in review from Charz for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Spoilers, everyone who played correctly enjoyed their game.

More Betrayal Legacy, the second round of Game Pass Roulette begins, and we lay out the plan for its future. We also briefly touch on some major changes coming to our Discord, and what fun that’ll be.
