Bobby Mackey's Music World Nov 22, 2022

Show notes

Whew! This is a long one, y'all. It was either this or break it into two parts, but I couldn't stand the idea of it taking an entire month to tell you one story. So, you get this chonker instead. This is only a fraction of the events that have taken place at Bobby Mackey's Music World, but I had to cut it off somewhere.

Y'know, of all the haunted places I want to go, I think this is the only one I might actually be afraid to go to. If I ever get the opportunity I'm sure I would, but this place is DARK. I love me some paranormal and all... But... Hauntings are one thing... Demons are another.

TW: Demons and demonic possession, mentions of suicide, murder, violence.

Some mild explicit language in this one.

Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary Nov 08, 2022

Show notes

Y'all, this one really threw me. Brushy Mountain is a force to be reckoned with.

Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary housed the most violent and frightening inmates of Tennessee. Therefore it's pretty unsurprising that it is said to be haunted by a number of aggressive and frightening spirits, both human and inhuman.

The Appalachian "Not Deer" is a folk cryptid, experienced throughout these mountains. Occasionally you'll find a deer that moves erratically and unusually, looks more intelligent than it should, or sometimes... Your gut just says something isn't right with that one.
