Episode 109: I Like to Screw With People Nov 02, 2013
    Show notes

Welcome, foolish mortals, to episode 109 of Connectivity. We've put together a delightful selection of segments for you this week. Starting off, Neal and Scott (AKA the T.W.I.N. Twins) get together for This Week in Nintendo. Following that, Neal, Zach, and Tyler go deep on Batman: Arkham Origins and it's 3DS sibling, Blackgate. Swear to them! Finally, Scott and Daan discuss Super Mario 3D World. That lucky European already got to play the whole game, but unfortunately he can only talk about the first two levels. Hey, send us some listener mail to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com! And please rate and review the show on iTunes.

    Episode 108: Castlevani Oct 26, 2013

Welcome to episode 108 of Connectivity! We have three segments for you this week. Neal, Daan, and Scott discuss Wii Party U, the surprisingly good party game that just released yesterday. Don't let the fact that it is packed in with a Wii Remote fool you; Wii Party U is a great choice if you and your friends or family play games together often. Plus it has the best version of baseball ever. After that, Neal and Scott return with This Week in Nintendo, breaking down the week's virtual releases on both 3DS and Wii U. Hopefully you are in the mood for full retail releases cause, uh, that's pretty much it. Closing out the show, Josh, Kim, and Becky play another rousing edition of Name That Pokémon. Kim and Becky, who have been living in the studio since the last game, dig themselves out from the trash heap and compete in a cutthroat, to-the-wire trivia game while Josh mostly just coughs. As always, you can send your listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. Are you pretty much dying with excitement with every day closes to Super Mario 3D World? Let us know! See you next week.

Episode 107: Nicki Minaj, the Pokémon Oct 19, 2013
    Show notes

This week's show is perhaps a tad bit shorter than usual episodes, but we all have a really great excuse: we've been playing Pokémon X/Y pretty much nonstop. What, that's not a good excuse? In the first segment, Scott joins Kim and Becky to discuss their recurring feature here on Nintendo World Report, "Disney Infinity: Good Idea,Bad Idea." Each week, they select two Disney franchises that would either be good or bad additions to the world of Disney Infinity. The trio go over what exactly makes a character worthwhile for consideration and then recap the picks so far. After that, Scott, Kim, Josh and Zach gush about Pokémon X/Y. The group has been playing religiously over the past week and break down what makes this game stand above most of the rest of the series. Party compositions, favorite new features, online play; this segment covers it all. As always, you can send your listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. Be sure to let us know what you think about Pokémon to this point as well as your suggestions for Disney Infinity. Until next week!

    Episode 106: I Killed Him! Did I Just Win? Oct 12, 2013
    Show notes

Howdy-ho ranger-roos! Connectivity is back once again and we're back with a vengeance. Well maybe not, but we definitely back again, and we're brining three segments plus a bonus with us this week. Firstly, Neal and Scott are back with TWIN: This Week in Nintendo. I think we should call them the TWIN Twins from now on. They go over all the releases and news that occurred over the last week. Unfortunately there wasn't much since publishers were wisely avoiding Pokémon's launch window. Alex then briefly goes over a non-Nintendo game that you all might enjoy, before the crew gathers 'round to go over the games they've been playing over the last few weeks. Finally, if you're into shooting hookers, stick around for a phat bonus segment after the regular show, in which Alex and Danny spill their thoughts on Grant Theft Auto V. Don't forget to send us listener mail to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. And please rate and review the show on iTunes! "Red Lanterns" by Shawn Daley is available at http://shawndaley.bandcamp.com/track/red-lanterns.

    Episode 105: European's Very Own Oct 05, 2013
    Show notes

Attention Humans of Earth, a new episode of Connectivity approaches. Prepare your aural receptors for immediate injection. This week's episode of the Internet's least-fattening podcast, we talk about the recent Nintendo Direct that broadcast on October 1st. I sure hope you're ready for some snark, because there's a lot of it in this episode. After that, Alex and Daan go into a deep discussion on Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. They've both played it and reviewed it, and they both have a lot to say. They talk about new battles, new mechanics, mega evolutions, and more! Finally, Neal, Justin, and Jared share their fresh off the dome impressions on some upcoming Nintendo games as they walk the streets of New York City. They cover Super Mario 3D World and a bunch of other upcoming Nintendo games. This episode was pretty great, wasn't it? You should review us on iTunes right now because you loved it so much. You should also send us listener mail to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com If you're going to New York ComicCon, stop by the StreetPass, Pokémon, and Beyond! panel on Saturday, October 12 at 5:30PM in room 1A10.

    Episode 102: Community Service Sep 14, 2013
    Show notes

Back and at it again! This week's show has three regular segments and another one of those illusive bonus segments as well. Kicking things off, Alex, Neal, and Scott talk about Rayman Legends (for real this time!), the Ubisoft platformer that was notoriously delayed. The guys pick the game apart and discuss why they each like it to varying degrees. After that, Neal and Scott return with another "This Week in Nintendo" segment, breaking down this week's eShop releases, including The Wonderful 101, which Neal has had the good pleasure of playing this week. Neal also spends the last half of the segment regaling us with tales about Wind Waker HD, another game he's been playing. What a lucky guy! Daan then returns with another one of his famed eShop developer interviews. This week, Daan sits down with QubicGames, who are releasing AiRace Speed this week on the 3DS eShop. Daan inquires about past and present games as well as the experience of developing for Nintendo platforms. After the outro, J.P. and Neal sit down for a little discussion about the ongoing NFL season. They actually recorded it before the start of the season last week, so some of their predictions might already seem a little silly (the Packers are already marching toward an 0-16 season), but that's OK! Be sure to send your listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com! We'll see you next week.

As always, we love to hear what you have to say. Let us know by sending your listener mail in to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. And please rate and review the show on iTunes!

Episode 100: A Really Really Big Show Sep 01, 2013
    Show notes

Do you believe in miracles? We've made it all the way to 100 freaking episodes of Connectivity! We've been at this show for a long time and it just keeps getting better. In celebration, this week's episode is jam-freaking-packed to the gills overflowing with content. Up first, we are kicking it old school with a brand new episode of the NWR Newscast. Nate even came back to join in on discussing the just-announced Nintendo 2DS, Wii U price drop and Zelda bundle, and the rest of the just-announced fall release list. Things just keep getting better in this episode, and in our second segment we look back over the past 100 episodes. There sure have been a lot of great moments, haven't there? And then there's the grand finale. The RFN crew joins us for another round of Nintendo Jeopardy! Thanks for all the support over the years, and double thanks for all the listener mail. We know you've been meaning to send us another. Go ahead and send it to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. And please rate and review the show on iTunes.

    Episode 99: Like a Hurricaine Aug 23, 2013
    Show notes

Welcome to episode 99 of Connectivity! Before the big 100, we have one more great show for you. Kicking things off, Daan and Alex talk about the Japan-only Darumeshi Sports Shop, a Nintendo published eShop sports game. Daan has invested a good amount of time into the title, and talks about the various modes as well as the chances that the quirky game might cross over to the U.S. After that, Alex, Josh, and Danny review the surprising amount of Pokémon news to come out this week, including the new show as well as the secret Wii U game. Danny even teases his impressions from playing the demo, before saying that he is saving the good stuff for the next Famicast. He is so Hollywood like that. Closing out the show, Zack, the other Zach, and Andrew discuss DuckTales Remastered. The trio go over how the game compares to the original and whether or not nostalgia plays a role in their enjoyment of it. Plus, Zack makes us all feel really old. Like usual. As always, you can send your listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. How about some birthday cards for the big 100 next week? We'll be sure to read any on the show. Oh, and if you haven't already, make sure you check out Daan's awesome eShop interview podcast. Thanks for the first 99. We'll see you with next week's special show.
