    33. How to Manage Guilt When Setting Boundaries Apr 12, 2022
    Show notes

Tell me if this sounds familiar: You feel empowered to take care of yourself and put your needs first, you set a boundary to support yourself, and then the guilt sets in. You feel bad and wonder if you were too harsh or too selfish for setting this boundary.

At this point, we have two options...either go back on our word and let others step all over our boundaries OR we remind ourselves why we set this boundary and we stay strong.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why feelings of guilt tend to pop up.
    • How to move through the guilt to support yourself.
    • How to stay strong in your boundaries.

    30. Handling Criticism as an HSP Mar 22, 2022
    Show notes

Our heart starts racing, our stomach drops to the floor, and we feel under attack. Even if you’re not an HSP, criticism is painful to receive and, in all honesty, it can bring out our Hyper Sensitivity and anger.

Sometimes the feedback and criticism is there to genuinely help us and sometimes it's just a mean troll on the internet. Either way our bodies tend to react in the same way and so we need a healthy way to cope with these feelings and to move through them so we can be the best that we can be.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why criticism affects us so much.
    • how to discern hurtful criticism versus helpful criticism.
    • How to deal with feedback from loved ones.

    29. You Are Not “Too Much" (vulnerable share of how I'm feeling) Mar 15, 2022
    Show notes

This is a love note to my sensitivity and to all HSPs who have ever felt like they’ve had to put on a mask or numb themselves in order to fit in. So welcome to today’s podcast episode that I treated more like a diary than anything. In this episode, I get wayyy more vulnerable than I thought I would but I know these thoughts and feelings can resonate with so many of you. I want you to know that you are not alone!

So here I am, coming to you without a script or outline, just sharing my emotions openly. I’m taking the mask off and inviting you to do the same. It's time to get real and raw because that is you at your core. Your sensitivity is beautiful.

    27. How to Deal with Negative Energy Mar 01, 2022
    Show notes

As HSPs and Empaths, it's only natural that we tend to absorb the energy around us. Under normal circumstances this is draining. Under negative circumstances it can feel like we've been bulldozed.

Of course there are tools to protect yourself from absorbing this negative energy in the first place, but let's be real, sometimes we cannot shield ourselves from everything. And what happens when the anger or sadness of others is directed AT us?

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why we tend to soak everything up.
    • How to minimize the affects of other people's negative energy.
    • How to release the need to "fix" or "solve" other people's problems.

    25. How to Tap into Your Intuition as an HSP Feb 15, 2022
    Show notes

In a world where there is a rigid set of rules to life, I dare you to ignore it all and listen to yourself.

Tap into your intuition and do things your way. Does a job look amazing and perfect on paper but the interview felt "meh" and not a good fit while the job that didn't seem to check all the boxes on paper feels like the most perfect next step and it makes no logical sense? Listen to your intuition.

Your intuition will guide you to such beautiful places in life - it's time to lean in. After all, you are an HSP - you're made to be intuitive.

    In this episode you'll learn:

    • Why HSPs can sometimes have a hard time at tapping into intuition.
    • How to know what is intuition versus what is anxiety.
    • About practices you can do to strengthen your "inner-knowing" muscle.

    24. If You're a Perfectionist or an Overachiever, This One's for You Feb 08, 2022
    Show notes

If you ever feel like you're always trying to be smart enough, accomplished enough, and like you have to do things perfectly in order to feel worthy – this episode is for you.

My perfectionist tendencies started from such a young age when I was in middle school and had hardly any self-confidence. I didn't like the way I looked and always felt less worthy than my friends. And so began my journey of perfectionism...spending hours getting ready for school and being in a bad mood if one hair was out of place.

This is no way to live, my friends. You are worthy and perfect just as you are.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • About my journey with perfectionism.
    • About how overachieving is really a self-worth problem.
    • How self-awareness is the key to changing old patterns.
