#190 - Conquering fear of Ulta, TikTok's Mean Pilates Instructor, and Toxic Receipts May 26, 2025
    Show notes

Erin is fresh off of baking a cake and mentally preparing for a secret LA trip. Erin conquers her fear of Ulta. A cereal brand uses a tricky but legal way to market their brand. We discuss the World Shot Put Series, Sydney McLaughlin Levrone’s 100 meter sprint debut at the Grand Slam, and a runner who nabbed $285 in freebies using his wife’s London Marathon medal. Erin spills the tea on a TikTok Pilates instructor’s controversial rant against overweight clients and an update on a paternity fraud case with a shocking jail twist. Our “How About We Just Die” segment covers toxic chemicals in store receipts. The “No Bad” story highlights a toddler’s heartwarming friendship with a wild crow named Russell. We announce plans to attend the Grand Slam, credentials or not. Also Erin is posting on Snapchat Follow us on Snapchat (@ImMrsSpaceCadet, @ScrapTownUSA).

#189 - Lost in NYC, Webby Award Loser, and a Tiktok Celeb May 19, 2025
    Show notes

We’re coming at you from the 35th floor of the Virgin Hotel in NYC, and this episode is a wild ride! We are in the Big Apple for a Webby Awards event (spoiler: Erin didn’t win, blame the bots), and it’s been a rollercoaster of influencer overload. Erin braved the first day solo, navigating Penn Station all alone and struggling to find the hotel. "LA" type influencers were everywhere making Erin feel uncomfortable...Think prom dresses and 20 take photo shoots. Mike swooped in for day two, and we tackled Adobe Photoshop activations, ate a Flaming Hot Cheeto cupcake (it’s… spicy?), and vibed with Jools LeBron ("very demure” queen) on turning her viral moment into a brand. We also ran into @effinbirds who snagged Erin's Webby. Erin rants about the Met Gala and is obsessed with the wheeled curtain that hides the celebrities outfits. On the train home, we bonded with Noah, an AI startup genius with a scooter and breakup stories that kept us hooked. Plus, a No Bad, No Sad moment: Noah says AI could lead to a utopia, not a dystopia.

#188 - London Marathon Ballot, Billionaire's Hunger Games, and the Delco Pooper May 12, 2025
    Show notes

We celebrate National Donut Week and discuss Be a Millionaire Day. The episode covers major sporting events like the Kentucky Derby and Grand Slam Track, alongside personal anecdotes and a viral Delco Pooper story. We also touch on marathon brain fog, NFL draft jersey production, and Tiger Woods’ community initiative in Philly.

    Key Discussion Points:

    • Erin laments her 30-day no-fun diet while joking about being millionaires in laughs and memes. Mike debates whether donuts are overrated unless from a bakery.
    • Kentucky Derby: Described as a Hunger Games like event for billionaires with big hats, all horses are descendants of Secretariat. The winning purse is $5M, with jockeys earning significantly less than owners.
    • Grand Slam Track: Michael Johnson’s innovative track meet series features signed athletes, challengers, and $100,000 prizes. Highlights include theatrical walk-ins and an unsigned UPS worker earning $50,000, hyped by peers.
    • London Marathon: With 1.1 million ballot applicants for just 56,000 spots, Erin suggests Sports Tours International for a guaranteed bib. She shares her post-marathon struggles, tying into a study on marathon brain fog caused by myelin depletion, reversible in two months.
    • NFL Draft: The hosts marvel at the rapid jersey production post-draft, with screen printersusing team-specific fonts to deliver in two minutes, a feat likened to a Gordon Ramsay kitchen.
    • Tea Time - Delco Pooper: A road rage incident in Delco leads to Christina Solomito pooping on a car’s windshield, sparking viral Philly Mag coverage. Her OnlyFans side hustle and unbothered mugshot add to the saga.
    • No Bad News - Tiger Woods’ Philly Project: Tiger Woods supports a $100M restoration of Cobbs Creek Golf Course, adding a TGR Learning Lab for STEAM education and community growth, potentially hosting PGA events.

#181 - Viral Track Assault, Secret Doomsday Bunker & Why The ABCs Are Ruined Mar 24, 2025
    Show notes

Erin kicks things off with a red-eye flight mess. Meanwhile, Mike is still struggling to find basic household items in his new place. Then, we break down the shocking relay race assault video that has the internet debating whether it was intentional or just bad luck.

From there, Mike shares a bizarre Instagram scam where someone pretends to care about his business, and Erin exposes a fake podcast invite scheme that’s actually hacking influencers.
