Elizabeth Weaver Engel, M.A., CAE, is CEO and Chief Strategist at Spark Consulting LLC. For more than twenty years, Elizabeth has helped associations grow in membership, marketing, communications, public presence, and especially revenue, which is what Spark is all about. She speaks and writes frequently on a variety of topics in association management. When she’s not helping associations grow, Elizabeth loves to dance, listen to live music, cook, and garden.
Sohini Baliga has worked in the nonprofit world since 1999 and has focused on marketing, communications, and development since 2002. She has worked in large, established, well-funded organizations as well as small, scrappy startups. In organizations large and small, she has seen the value of relationship building and storytelling to help grow communities and cultivate donors.
After a decade of consulting for a variety of nonprofit clients, Sohini recently closed down her successful practice to join Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan budget watchdog in Washington, DC. She serves as their director of communications. She also continues to serve as executive director of the Vienna Choral Society, the “joy project” and sole client she retained from her consulting business.
