NP492 – Metroid: Dread Review and ACNH Direct! Oct 17, 2021

Show notes

Metroid: Dread has been such an amazing title to make my way through. In this episode, Stephen and I give our “reviews”. That’s in quotes since both of us are at the very end of the game, but haven’t rolled credits yet. Everything about the game is amazing. From the fluid animation, to the amazing sound design, to the new weapons and attacks… what a ride!

On top of our review, we go over the news from last week’s Animal Crossing Direct. Oh, and we talk about the Expansion Pack and its pricing… it was a fun show to record, and we hope you enjoy listening.

Enjoy the show folks!

NP491 – Nintendo Direct Thoughts Sep 24, 2021

Show notes

Well we got one heck of a fun Nintendo Direct today. New games were announced, DLC was unveiled, a new Nintendo Online tier was announced with N64 + Genesis games but no price, and we found out that Chris Pratt will be playing the voice of Mario in the Mario movie… wait what!? Yep, it was that kind of Direct :)

I’ve already snagged copies of the Castlevania Advance Collection and Actraiser Renaissance. Both are amazing and I’m a little shocked that they were stealth drops.

You can check out my First Look of the new Actraiser here:

NP490 – Cruis’n Blast Review Sep 16, 2021

Show notes

I can’t believe that Nintendo *just* added Bluetooth audio support to the Switch… 4 years after it launched. I’ve used many 3rd party devices to connect my AirPods, this just seems too good to be true. IN this episode we talk about the latest news on Switch sales in Europe, chat about the new firmware update that dropped, then I give you my review of Cruis’n Blast. I am absolutely loving this arcade racer. My family seems to love it as well since we have been having epic 4-player split-screen battles all week! If you pick it up, be sure to let us know what you think of it! Enjoy the show folks!

NP488 – Happy Birthday SNES! Aug 24, 2021

Show notes

I can’t believe that the SNES is already 30 years old! I have such fond memories of playing SNES on the weekends with my buddies. What an amazing console! Besides the SNES, we also talk about Quake that is having its own 25th Anniversary celebration. Quake was just remastered and released on pretty much every platform under the sun. I’ve played it on PC, Xbox Series, and the Switch and they all play amazingly well (60 FPS baby!)! Quake also has full cross-play and coop support as well. Excited to see a new generation get to enjoy this awesome game!
