Ask a Trek Expert with Marc Scott Zicree! "First Contact" is considered one of the best episodes of TNG ever made, and "Far Beyond the Stars" is considered one of the best episodes of DS9 ever made, perhaps all of Star Trek. And Marc Scott Zicree wrote the story for BOTH of them! He's also had a very long writing career before and after that, including working on many beloved animated shows like He-Man, The Real Ghostbusters, Super Friends, as well as live-action sci-fi shows like Babylon 5, Sliders, TekWar, and much more. He's also had quite an independent streak over the past 20 years or so, writing, directing, and helping to finance the Star Trek fan film "World Enough and Time," his own sci-fi series Space Command, and now the Showrunners Network, an initiative he and his wife, Elaine Zicree, are launching together to help get multiple independent sci-fi projects funded at once. Marvin interviewed him solo because, well... dicussing "Far Beyond the Stars" would result in quite a few spoilers for our newbies. But it was a fascinating chat with an industry veteran!

The Jem'Hadar! An episode that should've been titled "The Dominion" instead. A light-hearted sitcom-style camping trip turns into an encounter with the greatest threat the Federation has ever seen. Sheesh, that escalated quickly!

All Good Things... must come to an end. Well, not the podcast, in fact we'll eventually be going through three shows at once: continuing DS9, starting Voyager, and livestreaming our discussions of TOS! But for now, our journey with TNG has come to an end. And what better way to end this crazy ride with a timey-wimey episode that jumps back and forth so wildly that that it would make Kurt Vonnegut blush!

The Collaborator! After a weirdly long time of putting off the Kai election, things finally get underway, and it seems like Kira's main squeeze Vedek Bareil is a shoo-in! Certainly a civilized planet like Bajor wouldn't elect an unhinged Kai like Winn, would they? Would they?!
