    Mysterious Circumstances

    ***EXPLICIT LANGUAGE***
    -Crime/Mysteries/Paranormal/History-
    – A podcast that dives deep into the unsolved and interesting, with an unpolished and unscripted “pirate radio” style. If you like a conversational style podcast about mysterious stuff, you’ll love this!!

From ‘PODCAST MAGAZINE’ : Host Justin Rimmel does a solid job of making listeners feel like we are in the room with him while he shares particularly weird cases he comes across. If old-fashioned true-crime stories are your thing, you will certainly find them on Mysterious Circumstances, too. Justin also does a good job of being a bit skeptical when covering cases. While he doesn’t discount anything paranormal from the start, he does bring in reason and common sense. Whether you are looking for something a little different from the typical true-crime podcasts, or a little scarier, give Mysterious Circumstances a listen.

The Disappearance of Nieko Lisi Oct 16, 2017
    Show notes

Neiko Lisi was last seen in Addison, New York on September 30, 2011. He and a 20-year-old friend, Robert Knight, stopped at Lisi's uncle's home at 2:00 p.m. and said they were going to Buffalo, New York to possibly go camping. Lisi had phone contact with his family the next day. He has never been seen or heard from again.

On the morning of October 1, Knight arrived at his parents' home in Romulus, Michigan. He said Lisi had dropped him off there, but no one actually saw Lisi. On October 3, Lisi's mother got his driver's license in the mail. Someone had found it on a street in Hornell, New York, about fifteen minutes from Lisi's home, and mailed it back. His Facebook page had been shut down without warning around that same time.

Lisi's family reported him missing on October 5, and the Michigan police questioned Knight on October 8. While he was being interviewed, the police decided to take him to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Knight was released from the hospital the next day. At 8:00 p.m. on October 10, he was found dead of a drug overdose at his parents' home. Authorities haven't said whether they think Knight's death is related to Lisi's disappearance.

The pickup truck Lisi had been driving in when he vanished could not be found after his disappearance. In July 2016, four and a half years after Lisi's disappearance, authorities finally located it, completely stripped down and locked inside a garage in a private home in Franklin, Tennessee. Foul play is suspected in Lisi's case. He remains missing.

The Disappearance and Death of Dorothy Jane Scott Oct 15, 2017
    Show notes

Dorothy Jane Scott was a single mother in 1980 who kept receiving mysterious phone calls at her job in Anaheim, California. Dorothy thought the voice sounded familiar, but she could never place it. The caller threatened to cut her into pieces and let her know he knew exactly where she was every minute of the day.

Alarmed, Dorothy took up karate. It didn't help her. One night she attended a meeting and became alarmed at the appearance of a coworker. Dorothy and another coworker took their friend to the ER to get checked out.

Once the coworker was treated, Dorothy offered to get her car and pull around to the front of the hospital. As Dorothy's two coworkers waited for her, they saw her race past them, high beams blinding them. Dorothy was never seen again.

A few hours later, her car was found burning in an alleyway. A week after Dorothy vanished, her parents got a phone call from a man saying he killed Dorothy. The calls from the mysterious man continued for 4 years.

In 1984, Dorothy's remains were found. After the media reported Dorothy's death, two final calls were received, asking if Dorothy was home.

So, who killed Dorothy and why? Was it is someone in her past or a random man who was obsessed?

The Death of a Ghost - King of the Delta Blues : Robert Johnson Oct 01, 2017
    Show notes

According to legend, as a young man living on a plantation in rural Mississippi, Robert Johnson had a tremendous desire to become a great blues musician. He was instructed to take his guitar to a crossroad near Dockery Plantation at midnight. There he was met by a large black man (the devil) who took the guitar and tuned it. The devil played a few songs and then returned the guitar to Johnson, giving him mastery of the instrument. This was a deal with the devil mirroring the legend of Faust. In exchange for his soul, Johnson was able to create the blues for which he became famous. Johnson died on August 16, 1938, at the age of 27, near Greenwood, Mississippi, of unknown causes. Several differing accounts have described the events preceding his death. According to one theory, Johnson was poisoned by the jealous husband of a woman with whom he had flirted. Johnson had been flirting with a married woman at a dance, who gave him a bottle of whiskey poisoned by her husband. But....when you start looking into this case, it doesn't add up. Did Robert Johnson really make a deal with the devil? How did he really die? Where is he buried? These are questions that surround the myth and the legend of Robert Johnson.

Part 2 - The Demonic Possession of Maurice Theriault Sep 19, 2017
    Show notes

As a child Maurice "Frenchy" Theriault lived a hard New England life, suffering long hours working on his family farm and dealing with his father’s abusive attitude, becoming more and more violent towards his son as he became older. Frenchy began to ask for help, calling upon anyone who would help him, even unknowingly asking Satan to help him. It was also during this time that he witnessed something horrific in the farm’s barn that is never explained fully but which is only hinted at as involving sex of some kind. Frenchy was forced to watch and participate in acts. Frenchy began to notice differences in himself. He had increased strength, knowledge of things he had never learned. He eventually left and floated around New England for years. In the spring of 1985 the town noticed something unusual going on with Frenchy. Blood would randomly appear in the house and on Frenchy. His unusual strength continued. The most disturbing activity was Frenchy’s bi-location. It was decided that this was a case of possession, and Bishop Robert McKenna was called in and agreed to perform an exorcism. The exorcism was successful...... but only for awhile.....

If these warnings were the only eerie factor, the story would be unnerving enough. But Dean’s death wasn’t the last of the strange occurrences surrounding the car.
