Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of John 5:23 which says "that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him."
"We have a personal relationship with The Son. We know Jesus, we know His story, we know how it impacted history. We know why he came and we know that he sacrificed his life for us. We know that he taught valuable lessons and he pointed us in the right direction.

My prayer is that we never take his teachings for granted. Lean on his voice, it sounds like stillness. It is the leader in your life. It enlightens your devisions and comforts you. Remember that our best friend in this life is the Holy Spirit that resides.

Our faith lays in something much greater and we are lucky to live in such grace. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Ephesians 2:8 which says "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"
"Today is a reminder that God takes broken unqualified people and He uses them for His glory. Nothing about this podcast is for me, it is all for Him. I am no one special. I don’t know what doubts cloud your mind but let me remind you that it is because of God’s grace that we get to live our lives of freedom, of purpose and of love.

So much so that I wanted to remind you again and again that it is because of Grace and Grace alone. We don’t have to be perfect for Him to use us.

Titus 2:11 says “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.” Romans 11:6 says “ And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”

Acts 15:11 “11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

    Hebrews 4:16

Approach his throne with confidence . It is because of grace that we can do so. Thank you Jesus, use us today. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Romans 5:8 which says "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
"We are not perfect. We fall short of perfection every day and when we seek perfection we drive a wedge between what we think we need and what we have, which is grace.

God’s grace surpasses the need for perfection. He fills the gap. He meets us right where we are.

No matter where you’ve been, what you’ve done, God loves you. Jesus sacrificed himself for you. So they next time you beat yourself up for something, remind yourself that you are so loved. So beyond loved. SO loved that someone sacrificed his life for you. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Romans 14:17 which says "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit"
"This verse is a reminder for us all that the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, in the sense that it’s not something we can enjoy in the physical, but something that is far greater.

The kingdom of God is about being in right standing with Christ, it’s about peace and it’s about the joy of the Holy Spirit that resides inside.

Let us ask the question today, how do we practice righteousness, how do we stay in a state of peace, and how can we hold onto our joy?

It’s important for us to be mindful of these things. So easily we can become distracted, different things can steal our joy and in one second we can lose all that Jesus can give us if we fixate on the stress, or the bad moments.

Don’t let anyone steal your joy today. Let’s make that promise together."

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Matthew 9:22 which says "Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment."
"My favorite part wasn’t that He said “Because you touched me you are healed” or “please let me work on your body and in 5 minutes you will be healed” he said “your faith has healed you”.

Meaning the responsibility is on us. We must have the faith that He can do it, and He will. It won’t always look the way we want. A lot of times we could beat ourselves up when we or a loved one is sick. We have the faith and sometimes they aren’t healed. But healing doesn’t only mean the physical body, it also means the emotional soul inside. Ask Jesus to heal the part in you that is hurting and grieving, and angry over what is going on in your life, and if you have the faith He will do it.

He is a good father. He doesn’t like to see us in pain. Surrender it to Him. Have the kind of faith that heals even the broken of hearts. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of James 1:2 which says "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds"
"A few weeks my Pastor said “Everyone wants miracles but no one wants problems” and I think it was a wonderful reminder for us all to hold onto when facing new challenges.

Monday comes with its fair share of challenges.

It’s a new week, new opportunities, fresh new starts, but in it all there are also new problems.

Sometimes we face bigger trials than others, but let this verse be a reminder to you, when you face trials consider it pure joy. Trials is when God shows off. Problems is when God does the miraculous. Testimonies are birthed in problems. So embrace them this week as they come up."

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of James 1:12 which says "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."
"Today I wanted us to talk about perseverance. This verse says blessed is the one who preservers under trial. Trials are tests that produce promises from God.

When we go through things, we are really growing through things. As we grow, adapt, and stand the test, we grow deeper in our revelations. God will only show us more as we are ready to learn more, and sometimes the only way we can learn is through experience.

Do not take your trails as Him forgetting you, leaving you, forsaking you. Take your trails as the blessings they are. They will mold you, change you, and make you a better person.

I know it’s hard. Easier said than done. But one day you’ll look back on this season and be thankful for the crown of life you earned. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 Kings 8:28 which says “Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”

"This verse does say something that I hope we can all take away. It says, give attention to your servant’s prayer. Key word, servant. The question we have to ask ourselves everyday is how are we serving God today? Or are we just demanding for answered prayers? I hope we leading by example in our our lives. We need to ask ourselves, how are we serving Him? Are we serving His people? Giving of our talents and treasure. Are we lending an ear or a hand? Are we keeping our souls pure?

I do believe that it is by grace and through grace alone, so we don’t have to act a certain way to get an answered prayer, but I do also believe that we reap what we sow and I pray we are always vigilant of what kind of seeds we put in the ground. I know faith is the best kind of seed because no matter what we face, with faith we can move mountains. So exercise your faith today, cry out to God and He will respond. He hears your cries. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Isaiah 6:8 which says "8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

"I read a question the other day that said, have you figured out the meaning of life. While I don’t think I can confidently say there is just one answer, I can confidently say that a big part of the true meaning of life lives within our willingness to serve the people around us.

What good is a million dollars if you have no one to share your life with? The meaning of life isn’t to work so hard you miss the little moments, the meaning of life is to be there for one another. Not just those we know and love, but those that we don’t know.

Today I am asking for prayers for my people in Cuba. Sometimes just a prayer is enough. Sometimes just a conversation is enough.

Today’s take away is simple, where is our heart? Are we in a posture of “Here I am! Take me?” Or are you hiding in the shadows. We should be ready to go wherever God calls us. If that is within our home walls, or miles and miles away. When He calls, I pray we all answer the call. "

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Matthew 7:13-14 which says 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

"This verse reminds me that life isn’t always easy. There are moments when we could make a turn and the road begins to open up. That is when things become dangerous because we can start driving on our terms. We can go faster that the speed limit. We can do donuts in the intersection. Truthfully things can get out of hand. But if we chose to go off the main road that everyone is one we will find a narrow and winding road. This is a picture of God’s way. The road may be bumpy. It might not have roads, it could just be dirt. You may not trust it at times, but He is asking us to do so. Trust that although you may feel restricted on his path, you are safe you are headed to your destination and you are in the right hands.

God is good. His path is good. We must be the few that find it and keep it. We must try our hardest not to try looking for the main road. Society is overrated anyway."
