Hosts Jean Bentley (Rotten Tomatoes) and Lauren Piester (TV Guide) discuss the first two episodes of Paramount+ period drama '1883' about a wagon train from Texas to Montana. The series is nominally a prequel to 'Yellowstone' but stands on its own so well that you don't need any 'Yellowstone' background. NOTE: This first half of the podcast is spoiler free for listeners who have not yet started watching '1883,' and there will be a clear warning when it goes into spoiler territory.

'Succession' S3:E5 Recap (with Daniel Fienberg) Nov 15, 2021

Show notes

Daniel Fienberg, the chief TV critic for The Hollywood Reporter, joins hosts Jean Bentley and Brandon Katz to talk about 'Succession' Season 3, Episode 5 ("Retired Janitors of Idaho"). Frowny-face-emoji programming note: This is Brandon Katz's last episode of 'Must Watch.' He has taken a new job — details to come — that will preclude him from hosting the podcast. Jean Bentley will continue recapping 'Succession' Season 3 with a series of guests while we search for a new co-host. Jean and I are sad to see Brandon go but extremely excited about his new job. I will continue mocking Brandon's love of the maudlin, overly sentimental film 'Almost Famous' on Twitter and texting him for his smarts on everything from Netflix news to Marvel shows as if nothing has changed. — Scott Porch, producer
