    ABOUT RICK RICHARDS:

American guitar slinger Rick Richards is best known for his work with The Georgia Satellites and Izzy Stradlin & the JuJu Hounds and also the Western Sizzlers, Desperate Angels and TheHellhounds. As Rick says......It's all about the tone. Rick Richards is unique. There is no other. If you're looking for that raw, rocking, edgy sound of the Georgia Satellites, you've found your man.

Founded in 1985, the Georgia Satellites shot into the upper reaches of the pop charts with their number 2 hit “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” and went, almost overnight, from being a struggling bar band to a national touring act opening for such top names as Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, REO Speedwagon & more. In addition to “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”, the Georgia Satellites also enjoyed Billboard chart success with their hits “Battleship Chains” and “Hippy Hippy Shake”.

Richards also co-wrote and played lead guitar on a dozen records with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin.

Rick has continued to tour and wow audiences and guitar lovers across the globe and is a Southern Rock icon.

Ep. 8: Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Lickerish Quartet, Jellyfish, Beck & more) Mar 12, 2021
    Show notes

    ABOUT ROGER JOSEPH MANNING JR:

Roger Joseph Manning Jr. has enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a touring keyboardist, session player, arranger, and producer. His latest project is the band The Lickerish Quartet.

Roger's arranging career began as early as 1989 when he began arranging string, brass, wind and vocal ensembles for his first band, Jellyfish, which he co-founded. Out of the ashes of Jellyfish arose his second co-founded project, Imperial Drag from 1994-97, which saw overwhelming overseas success, particularly in England and Japan. From 1995-97 he co-founded the all-vintage electronic duo known as The Moog Cookbook. This group was started solely as a means of having a forum to express its love for the bygone era of vintage synthesizers and exotic keyboards. Ultimately it became his calling card for longtime friend and collaborator, Beck Hansen. Roger began his over 20-year and still-active relationship as Beck’s sideman, touring the world and recording critically acclaimed albums. Not to mention work with other artists such as Fun!, Paramore and others.
