The Delphi Murders: More Confessions Apr 12, 2024

According to his defense team, Richard Allen has made numerous incriminating statements about the Delphi murder case while incarcerated. They claim this is because of mental health concerns and have asked Judge Frances Gull to throw out the evidence. If this evidence remains, it will damage Allen's claims of innocence.

The Delphi Murders: Crowdfunding Apr 04, 2024

Recently, attorney David Hennessy — apparently at the behest of attorneys Brad Rozzi and Andrew Baldwin — launched a crowdfunding effort to raise funds to assist in the defense of Richard Allen, the man charged with the killing of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

In response to The Murder Sheet's request for comment, Defense Diaries creator Bob Motta threatened to "respond in kind' to any criticism and invited himself on the program. We also discuss some of the details of the Allen fundraiser in particular, including the role of a prominent defense YouTuber.

The Fentanyl Files: Dealing Resulting in Death: A Conversation with Chief Deputy Prosecutor Zach Craig Mar 28, 2024

Today, as part of our new occasional series The Fentanyl Files, we’re going to focus specifically on the legal side of things. In order to give prosecutors an extra tool to use in this crisis, the Indiana legislature passed a law making dealing resulting in death a level 1 felony. To be blunt, that means that if you sell someone fentanyl- or another drug- and that substance causes that person’s death then you can face up to a 40 year prison term.

But what does this mean in practice? How are prosecutors using this law? What sort of cases are they seeing ?

To find out we went to talk to Muncie to speak with Zach Craig. Zach is the Chief Deputy Prosecutor of Delaware County and currently leads the state of Indiana in getting convictions under this statute.
