Evidence is the basis of a conviction. Without it, dangerous men and women would walk free. But, on some occasions, the evidence can be either misinterpreted, ignored, or just flat out not brought into court. Those are the cases where innocent people go to prison and murderers are left free. On February 10th 2004 a man who was, by all accounts a criminal in need of prison time, was scheduled to be executed. However, the evidence in his case was mishandled in a way that has left Kevin Cooper alive and in prison 15 years after he was set to die. Kevin Cooper Scheduled Execution (2004)

The science behind profile is truly fascinating. It’s amazing how little pieces of crime scenes or facts about a case can evolve into even the most minute details about a suspect’s life. When done correctly, it can often lead to a killer’s capture. But, when done incorrectly, it can prolong a crime spree and cost many their lives. On February 3rd 1975 the Skid Row Slasher was finally apprehended and, his arrest would prove just how wrong their profile was. Vaughn Greenwood Apprehended (1975)
