When we are tempted to doubt God’s love—especially in light of our sin and failures—Romans 8:38–39 reminds us that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. In today’s episode, we reflect on the danger of pride and the grace God gives to the humble, inspired by a powerful illustration from a Life Action revival and the truth of James 4. Just as two football teams oppose each other on the field, God stands in opposition to the prideful. Pride shows up when we seek our own glory, rely on ourselves, or make everything about us. But God offers grace to those who walk in humility. We are reminded that apart from Christ, we can do nothing, and our only boast is in Him. Join us as we consider practical ways to cultivate humility and walk in step with God’s grace.

Impatience often reveals our desire for control, but Scripture calls us to trust in God’s timing and character. Waiting is not passive; it’s an act of faith and worship. Pastor Keith encourages listeners to see waiting as an opportunity to grow in strength and dependence on the Lord. With practical insight and biblical encouragement, this episode invites you to memorize Psalm 27:14, worship while you wait, and hold fast to the God who is never late.

In this episode of Moments of Worship, Pastor Keith closes the Philippians series by highlighting God’s abundant provision and sustaining grace. From Paul’s confident assurance in Philippians 4:19 that “my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus,” we are reminded that the God who provided for Paul will likewise care for His people. This promise flows out of a life marked by gospel partnership and worshipful generosity. Paul’s final greetings—especially from those in Caesar’s household—affirm that the gospel is bearing fruit in unexpected places. As we end, we’re encouraged to live with joy, generosity, and a firm hope in God’s faithfulness, giving all glory to our God and Father.

Drawing from Philippians 4:14–18, we explore how their sacrificial giving was not merely financial support, but a fragrant offering to God—a visible expression of worship and love for Christ. Paul’s joy was not in the gift itself, but in the spiritual fruit it revealed in their lives. As we meditate on this passage, we’re invited to consider how gospel generosity flows from hearts transformed by grace and leads to worship that is pleasing to God.

In this episode of Moments of Worship, Pastor Keith McMinn reflects on the Apostle Paul’s testimony of contentment in all circumstances. Drawing from Philippians 4:10–13, we’re reminded that true contentment isn’t tied to our situation but to our Savior. Paul learned to be content whether in need or in abundance because his strength came not from within, but from Christ. This episode invites us to examine where we seek satisfaction and challenges us to anchor our peace in Jesus, the only one who sustains us through every season.

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. — Philippians 4:13

In this episode, Pastor Keith explores Philippians 4:8–9, where the Apostle Paul exhorts believers to set their minds on that which reflects the character of God—truth, honor, justice, purity, beauty, and moral excellence. Paul writes, “If there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (v. 8). This is a call to intentional, Christ-centered meditation that aligns the believer’s thoughts with the revealed will of God in Scripture. Pastor Keith reminds us that godliness begins in the mind, and biblical thinking leads to biblical living. Paul continues, “What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you” (v. 9). In a world of distractions and distortions, this episode calls worshippers to renew their minds with truth and walk in the pattern of Christlike living, knowing that the God of peace will be near.

In this episode, Pastor Keith reflects on Philippians 4:1–7, where the Apostle Paul urges the Philippians to stand firm in the Lord, pursue unity, and walk in joy and peace. Paul tenderly addresses a conflict between two faithful women, Euodia and Syntyche, calling the church to help restore their fellowship in the Lord. He then gives a series of powerful exhortations: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice” (v. 4), and “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (v. 6). Pastor Keith encourages listeners to live with gospel-centered joy, gentleness, and dependence on God in prayer. The promise? “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (v. 7). In a world full of pressure and division, this episode invites worshippers to rest in the nearness of Christ and let His peace rule their hearts.

In Philippians 3:17–21, Paul urges believers to follow faithful examples and live with eternity in view. He contrasts those who walk as enemies of the cross—whose lives are marked by self-indulgence, misplaced glory, and earthly obsession—with those who belong to Christ and await His return. With pastoral concern and even tears, Paul warns of the danger of living for this world. But he lifts our eyes to a greater reality: our citizenship is in heaven. As followers of Jesus, we are not defined by the values of this passing age but by the hope of transformation and glory. One day, our Savior will return and, by His sovereign power, make our lowly bodies like His glorious body. Until then, we are called to walk in faithful obedience, fixing our gaze on Christ and those who model His life well.
