Her site, galadarling.com, helps a million women a month find their voice, live without fear, and fall in love with life. Born in New Zealand, she moved to NYC with one suitcase when she was 24 years old, and used radical self love to heal from an eating disorder and depression. Gala has been called “a spiritual revolutionary”, “the oracle of all things mystically glam”, and “a modern-day guru”. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, New Zealand Herald, Teen Vogue, New York Post, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Time Out New York, Sydney Morning Herald and countless others. She has been interviewed on CBS, ABC News, and Hay House Radio. Gala has spoken about radical self love and entrepreneurship at SXSW Interactive, TEDxCMU, and dozens of other events across the world, in addition to lecturing at NYU (twice). A co-founder of The Blogcademy, she taught over 1000 women how to build their business through their blog on several continents. Gala has worn mouse ears in the Blue Lagoon, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week, and once danced naked in front of strangers at a self-esteem workshop. She believes in kale and crystals, goal-setting and gratitude, kaleidoscopic colour and kicking ass. 6 Ways to Manifest What You Want Oct 26, 2016
    Show notes

Episode 124: In this episode of the Mind Body Musings Podcast, I'm going to teach you 6 ways to manifest what it is that you want. Dreaming of a supportive relationship? Desire to move to New York City? Find yourself day dreaming about a promotion? Know you're capable of more but you're feeling "stuck" in your career, relationship and finances? Manifestation, or The Law of Attraction, is a practice in which you do your part to meet the universe halfway. A common misconception is that with manifestation you just sit around and do nothing but think about a brand new car. Meh, that's not really the case. You have to work both on your mindset and your actions. As you think, visualize and concentrate on what it is that you want, you will cultivate a positive energy that will, in return, attract what it is that you desire. Here is a list of 6 ways you can begin manifesting today! Show notes: Check out my group coaching program The Freedom Lounge HERE Sign up for my upcoming live intensive in Boulder, CO called More Than This HERE Why you should never focus on what you do not want but instead, focus on what it is that you do want Six ways to manifest what it is you want Write lists every day Uncover and target your limiting beliefs Subconscious programming- change your passwords Make mantras Visualization "Networking" and making BFFs with people online (and how to do this right) One of my favourite list assignments: writing down what I want to be, do and have "Those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait and wait without anxiety" - A Course in Miracles "Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled" Check out the Five Minute Journal HERE Check out manifestation genius Denise Duffield-Thomas and her book Get Rich, Lucky Bitch [Tweet "Have you heard about the power of manifestation and the Law of Attraction? Kute Blackson: Abandoning Entitlement and Adopting Radical Responsibility Oct 12, 2016
    Show notes

Episode 122: A charismatic visionary and transformational teacher, Kute Blackson offers a fresh, bold look at spiritual awareness for a whole new generation. Born in Ghana, West Africa, Kute's multicultural upbringing as the child of a Japanese mother and a Ghanaian father has spanned four different continents. His unique lineage lay the foundation for his approach to breaking down barriers and unlocking an individual's true gifts and greatness. Kute quickly learned that the "outside-in" approach favored by so many in the personal development space had to become an inside-out approach. So he decided to create his own method—a process that liberates the individual and the true self at the core and then pushes those gifts outward into the universe. This helps the individual get in touch with who they really are. It is a process of breaking free—so that the individual can live, give, and share the truest expression of their self. This is what Kute calls "Liberated Living." Colored with experiences from his own incredible journey, Kute’s debut book, You.Are.The.One., published by Simon & Schuster and released worldwide on June 7, 2016, shows readers how to unlock their true potential and live a life they love, through love. Kute is a next generation world leader out to awaken millions to Love and to Live their inspired destiny. Show notes: Kute's culturally diverse upbringing and how seeing the seemingly impossible on a regular basis contributed to his own personal growth At age 8, Kute read his first self-help book called Creative Visualization, where he first put visualization into action The pressure Kute experienced from his father at a young age to be a part of the church At age 18, Kute had the brave but limiting-belief-shattering conversation with his father (what he believes is the moment he became a man) How winning the green card lottery felt like God telling Kute he was on the right path Kute came to US with two suitcases, one with clothes and one with books, after winning the green card lottery, sought out teachers, traveled the world and decided to share his joy in coaching How Kute found himself angry when he moved to the US because he was without any support from his father, until he decided to stop with his entitlement and stop acting like people owe him something The incredible shift he experienced when he adopted radical responsibility, gratitude and control over his own life Action step: from this day forward, commit to knowing that nobody owes you anything How great thought leaders show us what's possible in certain areas, but maybe not all areas Real success is the degree to which you're being the most authentic version of yourself When you're in a relationship that you know is wrong, at least make it a conscious decision "Nothing and no one is worth not telling the truth for" The best way to get through a break up is to sit and feel the pain (not to wallow or indulge in it) and to allow yourself to feel all of the feelings in the various ways they come in the different stages/layers The success of a relationship is not judged on whether or not it lasted forever; a relationship is successful if the two souls involved have evolution together There is no failure in breaking up. It's a portal to graduate to the next level of your life. How to Not Give a F* Oct 05, 2016
    Show notes

Episode 121: In this episode of the Mind Body Musings Podcast, I go over some of the key concepts I've been learning in the incredible book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson. If you've been following my Instagram stories lately, you saw all of my highlighted notes in this book. After finishing, I thought to myself, "Why not make a podcast about some of the juiciest, helpful gems I discovered in this book?" And so here we are! If you're feeling "thin, sort of stretched, like butter over too much bread" like Bilbo Baggins, than this podcast is going to be perfect for you. Stop wasting your precious energy and time on the wrong values, using the wrong metrics to measure them and saying yes to all of the wrong things. Your life is finite, and it's crucial you learn how to be selective in what you give your attention to, and what you give a f* about. Also, I don't cuss on my podcast so no worries if you have sensitive ears. Show notes: Apply for my 1:1 coaching HERE Sign up for The Freedom Lounge HERE Apply for the Forever Free Retreat HERE The point is not to say "f* it" to everything, but to say "f* it" to everything unimportant A good value: things that are reality-based, socially constructive and immediate/controllable (ex: honesty) A bad value: things that are superstitious, socially destructive and not immediate/controllably (ex: popularity) 3 examples of bad values: Pleasure: the easiest to obtain and lose; the most superficial form of life satisfaction Material success: beyond being able to provide necessities, the correlation between happiness and world success is close to zero extra happiness (this can also get in the way of others values, like honesty) Always being right: aim to not be right, so that you can continue to grow and learn Why being uncertain about your beliefs is not a bad thing and can actually lead to humility and growth An example of two musical artists: one with bad values (leader of Megadeth), and one with great values (an ex-Beatles member) How I started to realize my values were going astray at the end of my travels 5 counterintuitive values for a better life: Responsibility: take responsibility for everything that occurs in your life, regardless of who is at fault Uncertainty: the acknowledgement of your own ignorance and the cultivation of constant doubt in your own beliefs Failure: the willingness to discover your own flaws Rejection: the ability to both hear and say no, thus clearly defining what you will and will not accept in your life Mortality: pay attention to your own death, and understand its realness [Tweet "Are you giving a f* to too many unimportant things in your life? STOP IT. #markmanson"] {COACHING} Ready to break limiting beliefs + Take your self-worth to the next level? Apply for my 1:1 coaching HERE.
