This week your favorite country girl Renee Davis explores the true crime cases of Louis Craine and Howard Arthur Allen—two lesser-known Black serial killers whose violent crimes targeted some of society's most vulnerable victims. While their names are rarely mentioned alongside America's most infamous murderers, their cases reveal disturbing patterns, controversial investigations, and questions about justice that still resonate today.

Some killers chase power. Others chase opportunity. But what kind of person deliberately preys on the elderly and defenseless?

In this episode, we examine the lives, crimes, and courtroom battles of two men whose paths to violence unfolded in different cities but shared unsettling similarities. From troubled childhoods and criminal escalation to shocking confessions, controversial legal arguments, and unexpected twists after conviction, these forgotten cases expose a darker side of true crime history that deserves to be remembered.

Join me for another deep dive into Black true crime, where lesser-known cases take center stage and every victim's story matters.

Paris. The City of Light. The city of romance. The city of fashion.

And for three terrifying years in the 1980s, it was also home to a pair of predators who turned some of its most vulnerable residents into targets.

When elderbuns across Paris began turning up beaten, bound, tortured, and murdered inside their own apartments, police were baffled. The victims had little in common beyond their age and the fact that they lived alone. As the body count climbed, newspapers gave the unknown killer a name: The Monster of Montmartre.

But the truth was stranger than fiction.

This week, we dive into the shocking story of Thierry Paulin and Jean-Thierry Mathurin. What started as robbery spiraled into one of France's most disturbing serial murder sprees, leaving nearly two dozen elderly women dead and an entire city searching for answers.

Wayne “Silk” Perry wasn’t just feared in the streets of Washington D.C.—for some, he became a legend.

This week, your favorite country girl heads to 1980s and 90s Washington D.C., when crack cocaine, fast money, and violence turned Chocolate City into the Murder Capital of America. At the center of whispers, rumors, and street mythology stood one man: Wayne “Silk” Perry, an alleged enforcer whose name reportedly carried enough weight to make people stay silent.

But baby… around here we deal in paperwork, not folklore.

Was Wayne Perry a ruthless serial killer hiding in plain sight? A product of the streets? Or proof that society treats some killers very differently than others?

Grab your tea, Noir Nation. This one gets gangsta.
