Rosemary Hanley was being nudged, that's how she puts it. She was being nudged to do something more, something for others, something to help those less fortunate in the city that she calls home and loves, St. Louis, MO. That nudge led to a coat drive which snowballed and 17 years later has Rosemary Hanley leading The Little Bit Foundation, an organization committed to removing the borders between children and education. This year The Little Bit Foundation will provide services to over 11,000 children in St Louis City and some county schools and is continuing to thrive and grow.
Rosemary Hanley was part of this years 2018 class of recpients of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. The Ellis Island Medal of Honor as described on their website is presented to "individuals who have made it their mission to share their wealth of knowledge, indomitable courage, boundless compassion, unique talents and selfless generosity with those less fortunate."

Amanda Brugel talks all things Rita with Justin & Tiana! Sometimes you things just work out perfectly. We tried to setup this interview for a couple of dates but couldn't work out a day that worked. So we decided to do it so that it would release after the finale....and WOW did we luck out! Rita helps June get the baby out of Gilead and finally takes that heroic turn that we had all been wishing she would take. Amazing stuff! Enjoy!
BOOM! There it is and there you have it! The finale to The Handmaid's Tale on HULU! Episode 13 "The Word" packed a huge punch...literally. We now know the fate of June and her baby. Emily finally has someone show her a kindness in Gilead, but not before leaving Auny Lydia bloodied on the floor! Serena finally comes to terms with the true nature of the world that she helped to create and learned the price for those that defy it. Meanwhile Fred learns that it's always the quiet ones you have to worry about as Rita and the Martha network save the damn day! What a great end to a great season. A little hope...a little fire...and a whole bunch of questions! Let's talk about it!
The Handmaid's Tale on HULU leaves us once again with no idea where the show is going. Episode 12 "Postpartum" followed up the highly emotional, very different episode "Holly" in which June gives birth to her daughter. Writer Eric Tuchman is a veteran TV writer with a history of writing for strong female characters. He brings us an episode in which things unfold and reveal the depths of the flaws in Gilead's society and the toll that it takes on all involved. "Postpartum" sets in motion events, the long term effects of which are not yet known and sets up a finale that could go in any direction. We take a deep dive into "Postpartum" with the man who wrote it. Enjoy!
We caught up with Sydney Sweeney a couple of week's ago to discuss her character Eden. The Handmaid's Tale brought Eden into the fold as Nick's child bride and has forced viewers to confront some very uncomfortable topics along the way. Sydney Sweeney joins us to talk about joining the cast after season one, what she thinks about those contreversial story lines and how she flips the switch from Sydney to Eden. Enjoy!
