Luka as LeBron's NBA Successor + Mavs Season Storylines Dec 04, 2020

Show notes

On this episode, Dalton Trigg and Matt Galatzan talk about how Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is set to be the face of the NBA once LeBron James retires. Some -- and by 'some' we really just mean one person who has annoying Mavs Twitter for more than two years now -- have questioned this idea of Luka taking LeBron's place, though, as if such a move would simply be the NBA giving that title to Doncic only to help continue expanding the league globally. Although that is one benefit Doncic being the eventual face of the league, this episode of the Mavs Step Back Podcast debunks any 'agendas' some people think the league might have by discussing why Doncic's play on the court and how he carries himself off the court makes him worthy of such a title. We also discuss the Mavs' Christmas Day showdown with the Lakers and our favorite Mavs storylines heading into the season. Thanks for listening, and remember to subscribe!

Zach LaVine, Buddy Hield and Victor Oladipo are all still on the board. Despite the lack of activity early on, the Mavs could still have us all smiling by this weekend if they take an aggressive approach. With it looking like Giannis could be staying in Milwaukee after all, an uptick in aggression is definitely needed right now. Thanks for listening!
