FULL SHOW: Weather alert; Celebs remember Clive Davis. Jun 30, 2026
    Show notes

Much of Europe still doesn’t have widespread air conditioning, which is making the current heat wave especially challenging, something the tri-state area is about to experience as well. CNN has reported that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s poll numbers are slipping, which is a worrying sign for both him and the Democratic Party. In Manhattan yesterday, celebrities gathered to honor legendary record producer Clive Davis at his funeral. Mark interviews New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin. They discussed what the next two years might look like under Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Michael explained how Mamdani’s newly passed rent freeze could pose problems for landlords with empty apartments. Both agreed that voting patterns in New York City and other major cities are starting to shift. The Supreme Court just ruled that states have the right to ban transgender athletes from sports. In addition, President Trump’s attempt to overturn E. Jean Carroll’s sexual assault and defamation case was rejected. Another ruling permits Trump to fire heads of federal agencies. There’s also a billion-dollar mining deal in the works involving Trump and Howard Lutnick’s sons, drawing comparisons to Hunter Biden’s business activities. That situation could lead to hearings for Trump’s circle if Democrats win the midterms. Big changes are underway at MSNOW. Longtime weekend anchor Alex Witt is leaving as the network moves to put more podcasts on the weekend. Mark interviews streaming host Bill O' Reilly. Bill recaps his latest podcast with Gene Simmons from KISS. He argued that parenting styles could cause a major shift in how Gen Z votes in the future. Bill also questioned whether media influence is partly to blame for more socialist and communist politicians gaining traction, observing that a bigger shift may be underway in American politics.

FULL SHOW: NYC Pride march; Taylor Swift's wedding. Jun 29, 2026
    Show notes

Mayor Zohran Mamdani was at the NYC Pride March yesterday, along with Senator Chuck Schumer and Governor Hochul. Mark explained that both Schumer and Mamdani spoke at the event. Mamdani also appeared on several Sunday shows, making his case that socialism isn’t a bad word; it’s just a different political approach. Meanwhile, tensions with Iran have escalated: shots were fired at ships in the Strait of Hormuz, putting the ceasefire and ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran at risk. Today is the funeral for legendary record producer Clive Davis, a chance to honor his life and legacy. Comcast is spinning off NBC Universal and Sky to form a new company. Mark interviews Fox News columnist Liz Peek. They talked about why people voted for Mayor Mamdani, and how pushback from Jewish communities is stronger than ever. The Gilgo Beach killer, Rex Heuermann, is officially headed to prison. Taylor Swift’s wedding is set for later this week, kicking off Wednesday near Madison Square Garden. There’s talk about Mamdani’s freeze-the-rent policy, which could cause trouble for people not included in the plan. President Trump weighed in on socialism and communism, and his Justice Department is targeting businessman Neville Roy Singham in China over alleged funding of communist ideology, including donations through Goldman Sachs. AOC could face a challenge from Mamdani as his popularity grows. Over the weekend, former President Biden took some shots at Trump during the Democratic Party’s “Fight Back & Win” gala in Maryland. Mark interviews journalist Steve Cuozzo. Steve shared how NYC’s real estate and restaurant industries are booming, with new businesses competing for space. He also gave some tips on how people are finding apartments and picking places to open up shop in the city.
