    Episode 120: Jerry Teixeira Jul 08, 2020
    Show notes

Jerry Teixeira is a body weight strength trainer who has been helping people lose weight for good without going to a gym! In this episode, Jerry tells us about his approach to health, diet, and exercise as well as relating the story of his own personal journey toward a healthier lifestyle. We discuss the 'calories in, calories out' model as well as the theory that you should 'eat less and move more' to lose weight. Also, we discuss the 'obesity mindset' that people sometimes retain after they have dropped a lot of weight. Jerry's theory of weight loss and strength training revolves around the idea that each person needs to start where they are at. Then, as you become stronger and lose more weight, the intensity of the exercise scales up to meet your ability. We talk about blue zones, the effects of eliminating plant food from your diet, and the potential health benefits of a carnivore diet.

    Episode 119: Jimmy Moore Jul 06, 2020
    Show notes

We are very happy to be joined on the show by Jimmy Moore. Jimmy is an accomplished author and a very inspiring guy with a great and encouraging story to tell. We cover a variety of topics in this episode. First, we talk about the importance of learning to look at the correct markers when it comes to determining progress, and learning to not stress over the markers that may not necessarily be direct pointers to the state of one's metabolic health. Next the conversation turns to strategies for dealing with carb and sugar addiction. Additionally, we have a long conversation about fasting—how to get started with fasting and how to do so safely.

    Show notes

Craig Emmerich is a keto/carnivore expert as well as an electrical engineer with an amazing story. We are excited to have him on the show with us today!
