    Show notes

After months of investigating the mysterious death of UC Davis student Andrew Wieman, we arrive at the end of our journey.

Twenty-five years after Andrew was found dead inside Room 12, questions still surround the evidence, the original suicide ruling, and what may have happened that night. Along the way, we’ve spoken with forensic experts, investigators, family, friends, and those closest to the case - and even after examining the same evidence, they don’t all agree on what happened.

In the Season 2 finale of Love & Justice, we confront the question that has followed Andrew’s family for decades: What happens when the search for answers doesn’t lead to certainty? And after everything we’ve uncovered, where does Andrew’s story go from here?

    212: The 60 Hour Gap Aug 18, 2026
    Show notes

All season, one question has remained at the center of our investigation: What happened during the nearly 60 hours between Andrew Wieman's return from Lake Tahoe and the discovery of his body inside Room 12?

For the first time, Love & Justice speaks with a Kappa Sigma fraternity brother who was there. Bo O'Brien was among the last people to see the UC Davis student alive - and the person who ultimately opened the door to Andrew's room and found him. Twenty-five years later, Bo walks us through those missing days from his perspective, sharing memories of Andrew's final night, the growing concern inside the fraternity house, the discovery in Room 12, and questions that have stayed with him ever since.

After spending more than two months examining Andrew Wieman's case, forensic crime scene reconstructionist Scott Roder returns with one of the most significant updates of the investigation.

As the team revisits the blood evidence, injury patterns, the broken knife tip, the locked-room theory, and the totality of the forensic evidence, one question comes into focus: At what point do a series of rare events become too many rarities to ignore?

    209: Death Investigation 101 Jul 28, 2026
    Show notes

Throughout this investigation, one question has continued to surface: Was Andrew Wieman's death investigated the way it should have been?

This week, Love & Justice steps back from the evidence itself and examines the investigation behind it. Retired homicide detective Wayne Katz reviews the original handling of Andrew's case, offering his perspective on crime scene preservation, witness interviews, forensic evidence, and the decisions made in the critical hours after the 20-year-old UC Davis student was found dead in his fraternity room with 29 stab wounds.

What could investigators have done differently? And do those decisions still matter today?

    208: What's the Motive? Jul 14, 2026
    Show notes

As the investigation into the death of UC Davis student Andrew Wieman continues, one question keeps surfacing: What did Andrew's fraternity brothers know?

After months of outreach, Love & Justice sits down with former Kappa Sigma fraternity brother and roommate Jeffrey Wyly for an in-depth conversation about Andrew's final months, fraternity life at UC Davis, campus tensions leading up to Andrew's death, access to Room 12, and why he has questioned the official suicide ruling for more than 25 years. Along the way, we examine long-circulating rumors, revisit key investigative leads, and explore what one of Andrew's closest friends believes really happened.

207: Scott Roder Has Entered The Chat Jul 07, 2026
    Show notes

After examining Andrew Wieman’s life, the 60-hour gap before he was found, the evidence inside Room 12, the suicide ruling, and competing forensic opinions, Love & Justice reaches a major turning point in the investigation.

With the help of Kendall Rae and the Higher Hope Foundation, we bring in veteran forensic crime scene reconstructionist Scott Roder to independently examine the physical evidence: wound patterns, biomechanics, bloodstain evidence, and the documented condition of the scene. As Roder begins asking whether Andrew’s injuries could have been self-inflicted, his early findings raise troubling questions about the original suicide ruling - and what may have been missed.

    206: Two Autopsies Jun 30, 2026
    Show notes

Twenty-five years after Andrew Wieman's death was ruled a suicide, we take a deeper look at two of the most critical questions in the case: Does the psychology fit, and does the forensic evidence support the conclusion?

In this episode of Love & Justice, leading experts examine the psychological profile behind suicide, the controversy surrounding Andrew's two autopsies, and whether the physical evidence points clearly toward suicide, homicide, or something in between. As Dr. Paul Uribe helps Kyle revisit the case with fresh eyes, longstanding questions about multiple stab wounds, manner of death, and investigative conclusions return to the forefront.
