Show notes
The San Francisco Giants opened their latest series with exactly what fans wanted to see—an offensive outburst. Dominic Smith with a huge homer, Jung Hoo Lee showed off both his pop and his bunting game, and Logan Webb notched his 200th and 201st strikeout on the way to his 7K performance. The Giants didn’t just win—they flipped the script, blowing the game wide open with homers all across the lineup.
We also take a look around the Wild Card race. The Mets keep losing, which opens the door just a little wider for San Francisco. The Giants’ margin is still razor thin, but with that time difference advantage, the psychological edge of scoreboard watching might actually matter down the stretch.
Later in the show, we profile one of the Giants’ most exciting prospects: Dakota Jordan. The 22-year-old outfielder signed for nearly $2 million out of Mississippi State and has been climbing the system fast. With his combination of raw power, speed, and growing plate discipline, he’s already ranked among the Giants’ top 10 prospects.
Finally, we dive into the Giants’ offensive explosion. After snapping an 18-game homer streak, they immediately launched five more in a single game—something they hadn’t done all season. Balance at the plate, better adjustments, and players like Patrick Bailey locking in have made the Giants look like a completely different team.
