Colts dominate Vikings in 28-11 blowout win Sep 22, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Zach Hicks of Stampede Blue joins Evan to go over the Colts' 28-11 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Thanks to an outstanding performance on both sides of the ball, this was a blowout win.

DeForest Buckner looked like a superstar against the Vikings. Finishing with 1.5 sacks and four QB hits, Buckner was worth the price Indy paid this offseason. If this continues, watch out. Also, Mo Alie-Cox could be a prime candidate to breakout within the Colts' offense after his outstanding performance.

How will the Colts replace Parris Campbell and Malik Hooker? Both are out for the season (Campbell likely, Hooker confirmed), so how will Indy adjust? Julian Blackmon looks more than ready to take the starting spot and run with it.

Closing out the show, we quickly preview the Jets matchup. There's no reason Indy shouldn't win this one by double-digits.

All of this, plus so much more, in a jam-packed Monday recap episode!

Key Matchups and Over/Unders for Colts vs. Vikings Sep 19, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Stampede Blue's Stephen Reed joins to go over the Colts' matchup against Minnesota before kickoff this Sunday. What are the biggest matchups to watch for? Will Indy be able to stop Kirk Cousins after Gardner Minshew tore up their secondary? Adam Thielen could be in store for a big game if another repeat performance happens.

The Colts need big games from Jonathan Taylor and Parris Campbell to win this close matchup on paper. Taylor's first NFL start should feature him seeing 15-20 touches, plus Campbell should be a mismatch nightmare against Minnesota's secondary.

Closing out the show, Evan and Stephen go over some over/unders via DraftKings. There's a few bets you should go make some easy money on this Sunday, Colts fans.

Crossover Special with Locked On Vikings Sep 17, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Evan Sidery is joined by Locked On Vikings host Luke Braun to preview Sunday's important matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings. Who holds the edge?

Starting off in Minnesota, is Kirk Cousins poised to be the next QB to take advantage of Indy's defensive scheme? Former Viking Xavier Rhodes will play an underrated role in order to stop Minnesota's primary outside weapon. If the Vikings are able to establish the run early, how will the Colts be able to stop them?

For the Colts, Philip Rivers has to be salivating after seeing Aaron Rodgers shred Minnesota's secondary. However, Indy will need to find offensive balance in order to defeat this Vikings squad. Jonathan Taylor and the Colts' offensive line will need to win the trench battle in order to notch a victory at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Closing the show, Evan and Luke provide their predictions against the spread. Will Minnesota cover the -3 spread Indy has the advantage on? Expect a shootout on Sunday, where the team who holds the ball last could exit as winners.

Show notes

On today's episode, Zach Hicks of Stampede Blue joins to recap the Colts' season opening loss in Jacksonville. Also, it's time to look ahead to the Minnesota Vikings as well.

Even though it was a shocking loss, there was plenty of positives to parse through. From Philip Rivers, Parris Campbell, and Nyheim Hines, this trio had a solid debut in 2020. What should Indy do with their defense? Should their be more exotic looks by DC Matt Eberflus moving forward? The simple answer is absolutely.

Finally, Evan and Zach look ahead to Minnesota providing the three biggest keys. Should this be a game controlled in the trenches or by Rivers' right arm?

Colts stunned in season opener, lose 27-20 to tanking Jaguars Sep 14, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Evan Sidery is joined by Stephen Reed of Stampede Blue to give their instant reaction to the Colts' stunning 27-20 loss in Jacksonville. Not a way anyone envision Indy beginning their 2020 season.

Philip Rivers had a strong debut, but two costly interceptions swung momentum in Jacksonville's favor. 10 points directly off turnovers from Rivers. Meanwhile, Indy lost Marlon Mack to a season-ending Achilles injury.

A huge storyline from this game was Gardner Minshew going 19/20 completing 95% of his passes. Another inexcusable performance for Matt Eberflus' pass defense. If this continues, will Eberflus be on the hot seat?

From the positive standpoint, Parris Campbell and Nyheim Hines look to be focal points of the offense alongside T.Y. Hilton.

All of this, plus so much more, as we dive deep into the Colts' awful loss to the lowly Jaguars.
