The Indianapolis Colts brought Hilton back home on a 1-year, $10 million deal. Joel provides his analysis on Hilton re-signing. What will Hilton's role be in the offense, and can he still be a WR1 talent in 2021?

Then, we dive into the Carson Wentz trade. Joel goes over his thoughts on how the Wentz deal went down. Also, how will the offense look now with Wentz under center? Will we finally see the offense open back up with more deep shots like we saw in 2018 with Andrew Luck?

    Show notes

On today's episode, Evan and Stampede Blue's Stephen Reed go over the flurry of Indianapolis Colts news over the last few days.

First up, the most important addition was re-signing Xavier Rhodes to a 1-year, $6.5 million deal. Compared to the cornerback market, GM Chris Ballard pulled off another steal with Rhodes. In total, a two-year, $9.5 million commitment to a strong fit within their zone-heavy scheme.

Next, we go over two former LA Chargers landing in Indy. Isaac Rochell was the first outside signing on a 1-year, $2.5 million deal. Is Rochell more of an Al-Quadin Muhammad replacement than Denico Autry. Sam Tevi was signed as a cheap swing tackle on Monday evening. Tevi provides much-needed depth for the Colts' offensive line.

Closing out the show, Sammy Watkins will be visiting Indy on Wednesday. Will Watkins can replace T.Y. Hilton or be a top-rated depth option? Also, with the WR market dried up, will Hilton return to Indy?

Busy day for Colts as Carson Wentz trade becomes official, re-sign Marlon Mack, make an interesting waiver claim, and T.Y. Hilton rumors gain steam Mar 18, 2021
    Show notes

On today's episode, Evan and Stampede Blue's Stephen Reed recap Day 3 of free agency for the Indianapolis Colts. On the official start date of the 2021 NFL league year, the Carson Wentz trade officially going through. GM Chris Ballard and head coach Frank Reich provided their first public comments on their new starting quarterback.

Marlon Mack is back with Indy signing on a 1-year, $2 million deal. What impact will Mack have in the Colts' offense coming off a significant injury?

Who is Andrew Brown? The Colts made a waiver claim for the 25-year-old defensive tackle. After diving deeper, Brown fits important traits for Ballard and DC Matt Eberflus.

Will T.Y. Hilton and Xavier Rhodes return to the Colts? It seems like it's trending towards that direction, especially with Hilton.

Closing out the show, we go over Reich's comments about wanting to add more of a vertical element at tight end. Will that be Zach Ertz or invest an early pick in the draft?

All of this, plus so much more, in a jam-packed episode!

Will T.Y. Hilton Return to the Colts at a Discounted Price? Mar 17, 2021
    Show notes

On today's episode, Stampede Blue's Stephen Reed returns to go over Day 2 of NFL free agency. Once again, the Colts remained quiet outside of restricted tags given out to Zach Pascal, Mo Alie-Cox, and George Odum.

Outside of that, the wide receiver market is the biggest storyline thus far. With everything moving slow, and cheaper, than expected, what does this mean for T.Y. Hilton? Marvin Jones and Emmanuel Sanders, two players in Hilton's expected tier, both signed for less than $8 million per year. Will Hilton now fall in the range, too? Evan and Stephen believe so, with a projected contract around 2-years, $15 million being the sweet spot.

After Tennessee made big moves with Bud Dupree and former Colt Denico Autry, Jacksonville stepped up on Tuesday signing some names of their own. Will Jacksonville push Indy at all in the AFC South race?

Closing out the show, we go over Jacoby Brissett signing with the Miami Dolphins. How should Brissett's tenure with the Indianapolis Colts be remembered?

All of this, plus so much more, in a loaded podcast even for a quiet day in free agency!

Colts Remain Quiet on Day 1 of Free Agency Mar 16, 2021
    Show notes

On today's episode, Evan Sidery is joined by Stampede Blue's Stephen Reed to recap the first day of 2021 NFL free agency. Not surprisingly, the Colts stayed quiet. However, the movement outside of Indy was robust.

First up, a former Colt is now off the open market. Denico Autry signed a 3-year, $21.5 million deal with division rival Tennessee. How will Autry signing with the Titans impact Indianapolis? Is Tyquan Lewis about to break out in Year 4 in Autry's role next to DeForest Buckner?

New England was the big spender on Monday. The Patriots were spending all of their salary cap space on Jonnu Smith, Matthew Judon, and Nelson Agholor. Will New England make a push in the AFC after these moves, or will they be the latest team to disappoint after splurging in free agency?

EDGE rushers are all gone for Indianapolis. All of the top names are already gone after the first 24 hours: Shaquille Barrett, Carl Lawson, Yannick Ngakoue, Bud Dupree, and Romeo Okwara are signing elsewhere. Indy is now positioned to bargain shop once more, or they could be targeting pass rush at No. 21 overall next month.

Closing out the show, we go over how the market is looking at left tackle, wide receiver, cornerback, and tight end. Will the Colts make a move at one of these positions very soon?
