The Link Between Religion and Psychedelics: Brian Muraresku May 13, 2021
    Show notes

Brian Muraresku explains the link between drugs and religion.

What is the connection between religion, Christianity, Eleusis, and psychedelics? According to Brian Muraresku, author of The Immortality Key, there is secrecy behind the origins of psychedelics and the connection psychedelics have to early Christianity and Christmas. Brian Muraresku’s book The Immortality Key is what Graham Hancock and Joe Rogan call the "best-kept secret in history".

Brian C. Muraresku is the New York Times Best Selling author of The Immortality Key: the Secret History of the Religion with No Name. His book is a groundbreaking dive into the role psychedelics have played in the origins of Western civilization, and the real-life quest for the Holy Grail that could shake the Church to its foundations. He believes that the psychedelic origins of the world's great spiritual practices could impact how we view ourselves and the world around us.

Brian recently gained global attention for his appearance on The Joe Rogan Show with Graham Hancock (episode #1543). I thank him for joining me today! If you’d like, you can support his new book The Immortality Key here: https://www.brianmuraresku.com/the-immortality-key

Finally, "RDAP Dan" breaks down what "R.D.A.P." is (Residential Drug Abuse Program) for those preparing for jail and those who are scared of going to jail with an addiction.

How I Survived Being Kidnapped by Somali Pirates: Michael Scott Moore Apr 29, 2021
    Show notes

Michael Scott Moore was kidnapped by Somali pirates. In today’s interview, journalist Michael Scott Moore details his harrowing experience being held captive by Somali pirates for 2 years, he also jokes about Somali pirates watching Captain Phillips, and answers the question - how corrupt is Somalia?

Thankfully this is a story of survival but reporting from conflict zones will always be dangerous. Micheal Scott Moore has many critics asking where should journalists draw the line and some even claiming that he had no business taking such risks and didn’t deserve aid. Personally, I disagree - if reporters like Micheal Scott Moore decide to avoid “dangerous” places, how many important stories will go untold?

Micheal Scott Moore has appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, The Joe Rogan Experience (Episode #1149), Ted, Google, and is the author of The Desert and The Sea. If you’re interested in supporting Micheal you can buy a copy here: http://radiofreemike.net/the-desert-and-the-sea

Tim Chantarangsu: So You Want To Be A YouTuber? Apr 26, 2021
    Show notes

How to get started on YouTube, how to start a YouTube channel in 2021, and how to be a YouTuber? To answer those big questions, I spoke to Tim Chantarangsu (formerly Timothy DeLaGhetto) about YouTuber trends, YouTube creator advice, and his thoughts on viral content creation. We also talked about his infamous Wild N Out episode with Azealia Banks, his appearance in the Drake x Justin Bieber music video, and went in-depth on his move retiring the name "Timothy DeLaGhetto".

There are a lot of videos out there that claim to tell you how to become a famous YouTuber or how much money a YouTuber makes but very few people have actually done what they’re advising. Tim Chantarangsu is a reputable voice because he’s been a successful content creator for well over a decade.

Donald Hoffman: Scientist Proves Why Reality Is “False” Apr 22, 2021
    Show notes

Do we see reality as it is, do we exist inside the story that the brain tells itself, are we living in a simulation? Those are some of life’s biggest philosophical questions, thankfully Cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman helps explain all of the above including the case against reality, the conscious agent theory, and if reality is “false”. I initially called Donald Hoffman after watching his Ted Talk “Do we see reality as it is?” to discuss the simulation argument, is reality real, and if A.I. superintelligence can construct reality for us.

Most of us are pretty certain that we see reality “as it is” but Donald Hoffman suggests that mathematical models based on evolution by natural selection suggest that our strongest intuitions may be false.

Donald believes that evolution gave us the equivalent of a computer interface that “hides” the real truth from us (ex: pixels, code, electrical voltages, etc) so that we can take action easily. We also covered the nature of consciousness, free will, synesthesia, the issues with space-time, causality, the self, and much more.

This was a mind-blowing talk and I tried to keep up the best I can, I hope you enjoy it!

The Only Prospect Ranked Higher Than LeBron James: Lenny Cooke Apr 19, 2021
    Show notes

Meet Lenny Cooke, the high school basketball player who was once ranked higher than LeBron James. Today’s interview covers the tragic career of Lenny Cooke, a high school basketball prospect who was ranked higher than LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Amare Stoudemire. I wanted to interview Lenny Cooke to find out what went wrong, what happened, why do a full documentary movie, and why NBA athletes go broke. Most importantly how can you go from the most hyped high school basketball player in the country to undrafted in the blink of an eye? How can you go from Lenny Cooke vs. LeBron James to what happened to Lenny Cooke?

Lenny Cooke was supposed to be the next great NBA superstar, they even made a documentary about him. Sadly, two decades later, while his once close friends are making millions, winning MVP awards, and championship rings, Lenny has still never touched an NBA court. Please keep in mind that some basketball fans believe that Lenny Cooke was NEVER better than Lebron James, it’s still a heated debate online to this day. I highly recommend watching the full Lenny Cooke documentary movie after this podcast for additional context.

Will has gone from protecting Hollywood celebrities to being engaged in firefights while working in Iraq - he’s been through it all. Will explained tricks of the trade, the gadgets he uses while on the job, how to plan for high-risk emergency scenarios, how to scout locations before security detail, and how to get ready mentally and physically to put their lives on the line for VIP clients.
