    The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 463 – Mindset Monday’s – Make My Belief a Tool Jan 31, 2022
    Show notes

When facing a challenge, many people hear a voice in their head that gets them to believe they’re having trouble with the tasks they’re doing. They start to feel shaky on the inside. They tell themselves, “I’m no good.” “I don’t know if I’ll ever get there.” “When will it happen for me?” “Is this for me?” “I’m not feeling well today.” “My energy’s low.” “Nobody will say yes.” “I don’t have enough people to talk to.” “I have a stack of debt.”

These are the voices in our head that hold us back. They’re based on subconscious programming. The way to change this is to understand that your belief can be used as a tool. You can choose to believe the opposite of whatever the problem is. That provides instant change.

    In today’s episode you’ll learn:

      • How to use the clarity of your desire and belief to override any fearful emotions or inner voices
      • You can choose how you think
      • Your subconscious mind wants to complete whatever pattern you’ve created (or whatever pattern was created somewhere in your life) to the Nth degree
      • Most middle class people weren’t taught that it’s okay to go after the things we want—and that’s a big problem
      • The friendliest voice to your subconscious mind is your own mouth—i.e., your own words—so encourage yourself every day and don’t tolerate negative talk
      • Your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between reality and imagination

When you’re going after a big goal, you need to engage a new belief system to consciously override whatever the subconscious program is that’s stopping you. Keep that at the front of your mind and remind yourself of it every day.

The more you say it—the more you see it in your mind—the more it goes into the subconscious, where it literally takes over and becomes habitual.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 462 – Full Throttle Thursday – Spotify Under Siege: The Death of Legacy Media & The Growing Influence of Joe Rogan Jan 27, 2022
    Show notes

Joe Rogan has become one of our most important influencers, averaging 11 million podcast views per episode on Spotify. His recent interview with Dr. Robert Malone had over 50 million views. Hands down, Rogan is the most listened-to person in the world.

Meanwhile, CNN and MSNBC’s ratings have dropped from a million views per episode last year, to under 100,000 views per episode today. This rapid decline indicates that people no longer trust legacy media and are seeking alternative perspectives. Many are realizing that so much of what we’ve been told over the last two years is turning out to be BS.

In this episode, BT and I discuss:

      • How the legacy media is attacking Rogan with a big smear campaign, while trying to shut down his voice
      • How our country was built on freedom of speech, meaning we can debate, talk about opposing opinions, hear different sides, and work things out together
      • How people are hearing (perhaps for the first time) a different view on COVID and vaccines
      • A petition that 270 “doctors” signed (most of whom weren’t actually doctors), calling for Spotify to remove Joe Rogan
      • Jimmy Dore’s podcast, in which he showed clip after clip of news stations that said, “Brought to you by Pfizer”
      • How YouTube removed the ‘dislike’ button because news videos were getting more dislikes than likes
      • The situation with Russia and whether they’ll invade the Ukraine—and why our country is probably more in danger now than it’s been since World War II, due to “the nuclear option” being on the table

My whole life has been spent looking for the truth, which seems to be what Joe Rogan is doing. I’m grateful he’s out there challenging the established narrative. I care deeply about our country and where we’re headed. I think we’re dangerously close to reaching an edge we might not be able to come back from—with the totalitarian push to shut down certain voices. That’s why I’m bringing you this important conversation—not to change your opinion, but to get you to really think about what’s true.

    The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 461 – There’s Always a Way Jan 25, 2022
    Show notes

In the Tao, the Bhagavad Gita, and most religions, there’s the idea of non-attachment. However, many people misunderstood what it means.

Non-attachment means everything comes into our life, then moves out of it. Nothing ever stays. It’s the flow of life. But when we become attached to something in an unhealthy way, that’s when we create pain and fear.

The fear often makes us ask, “What happens if we don’t get the outcome we want? What happens if it leaves? What happens if it’s wrong or something goes wrong?”

    In today’s episode you’ll learn:

      • Everything in business is about a result—something either works, or it doesn’t
      • We can drive ourselves crazy by getting hung up on the most minute things
      • Your subconscious mind doesn’t want to experience the unknown—it hijacks the process and throws your self-image, fears, and insecurity into it
      • We get attached to the result because we attach it to our self-image, other people’s acceptance or rejection, or our success
      • “If you’re not concerned about the outcome of circumstances, you will experience no fear”

In business, you shouldn’t be focused on making the sale or making the money. Instead focus on, “Did that conversation work? Did that marketing campaign work? Did that reach-out work? If it didn’t, let’s change it and do something different.”

“It either worked or it didn’t.” The phone call either worked or it didn’t. The person either said yes or they didn’t.

Success is that simple. If this thing didn’t work, let’s try something else.

    The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 460 – Mindset Monday’s – Who’s Your Puppeteer? Jan 24, 2022
    Show notes

Chin Nin Chu says, “The fear of success is much more powerful than the fear of failure.”

Personally, I don’t believe there’s such a thing as a fear of success or a fear of failure—because it goes much deeper than that. Most of us want things in life, but we’re afraid of leaving behind the familiar and venturing into the unknown.

    In today’s episode you’ll learn:

      • Before you can succeed, you must understand that success means change and the risk of failure
      • Most new ideas or endeavors are met with disapproval from others
      • When you start to go past your financial set point, people see you—they judge, ridicule, and reject you
      • All the ‘problems’ and circumstances you experience are an illusion designed to pull your attention away from what’s really going on—that deep down, you don’t want to be rejected or ‘wrong’
      • If you’re trying to control and mediate how other people think about you, then you’re being a puppet—you’re not being the real you

People stay stuck because they don’t know how they’re going to manage too many people thinking about them. That all becomes an illusion and an excuse for you to not move forward.

Once you stop trying to control and mediate how other people think about you…you’re free.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 459 – Full Throttle Thursday – Mass Formation: How Groups Can Be Led to Think in One Direction Jan 20, 2022
    Show notes

How is it that so many smart, educated people—who are supposedly individuals of science—become completely one-sided? How is it that their minds can’t look at any other information? And when you show them the truth, they deny it? It’s freaky weird. This is not just a problem in the United States. We’re seeing this same mindset all around the world. And it’s very disturbing.

In his recent podcast, Dr. Mattias Desmet discusses “mass formation”—a phenomenon in which an extraordinarily large group of people are hypnotized into thinking in one direction. (This is such a sensitive topic, I can’t even use the word that comes after it.) When people’s sense of safety is jeopardized and destabilized like it was with COVID, they become extremely suggestible to any information—especially when that information is going in one direction only.

In today’s episode BT and I discuss:

      • How big tech platforms are censoring people to keep one message and one narrative moving forward—while locking people into ‘mass formation,’ where they only believe the one thing that’s being told to them
      • How some doctors are turning people away from treatment because they’re not vaccinated—and how Nazi Germany made a certain group of people ‘bad,’ ‘dirty,’ and ‘wrong’ during World War II—to the point where they could justify extermination
      • What Jordan Peterson said about Germans becoming Nazis—it didn’t happen overnight; it happened over a period of time
      • Freedom of speech in the United States, and how it’s the only reason why we haven’t gotten as far as the extreme measures taking place in Canada and Australia
      • Why the need to be right (or the need to not be wrong) keeps people stuck in their beliefs—where they deny new information, even if it’s true
      • Why it’s dangerous to demonize anybody who thinks differently
      • The power of thinking for yourself

Eric Hoffer wrote a fantastic book called The True Believer, in which he explains the concept of ‘mass formation,’ how mass belief systems start, and how they’re created. I highly recommend you read it—and also check out Dr. Mattias Desmet’s podcast.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 458 – In Search of the Truth: DeMark Thompson Jan 18, 2022
    Show notes

Today I have a special guest named DeMark Thompson, who is an actor born and raised in Washington, DC. His acting career began in 2011 with a role in the film, “After Earth,” starring Will and Jayden Smith. DeMark went on to do additional TV roles on CBS, NBC, and HBO.

Shortly before his mother passed away, DeMark promised her that he’d continue acting. Since then, he’s dedicated his career to his mother, and to keeping the promise he made.

    In today’s episode we discuss:

      • How life is short, and you should pursue your passions
      • DeMark’s work in cybersecurity with the Department of Energy
      • What it was like seeing Will Smith for the first time on set
      • The fierce competition in the acting industry—and why you need to be totally dedicated to the process of auditioning if you want to be a successful actor, because rejection happens often
      • How DeMark shifted from “competing” against other individuals to forming relationships that could lead to other opportunities
      • What makes an actor marketable—and why you need to get your work out there, so that others can know you and your work ethic
      • Why we need to train ourselves to “always stay ready”

DeMark also shares how trained himself not to doubt or worry, because “words have power.” He uses affirmations while waiting to hear back on acting jobs. “Today could be my day. Everything could change today. Anything can happen today,” he tells himself.

DeMark encourages people who are willing to take a leap of faith to pursue their dreams. No matter what we do, people are watching us, and we’re either being an example of what someone could be—or we’re being an example of what NOT to do.

    The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 457 – Mindset Monday’s – Where Did I Stop? Jan 17, 2022
    Show notes

Many people are stuck in a certain kind of thinking that keeps them experiencing the same problems over and over again. Their thinking causes them to go in circles.

If you want to break free—especially when it comes to money—you have to start holding yourself to a higher standard. You must force yourself to make decisions differently. Or else it never changes.

    In today’s episode you’ll learn:

      • Your mind is programmed to think if you want something (like money), you have to give up something else
      • When you’re running a business, you can’t deny one area that needs your attention in order to get something in another area—it’s the wrong sacrifice (you can do BOTH)
      • Why you need to break the paradigm of “either/or” (of not being able to do two things at once)
      • How emotions keep us habitually locked in to the idea of “either/or” thinking
      • Changing how you think is a lifelong pursuit that takes time
      • Desire is important in the beginning, because you need to break through your paradigm

Many people want the result, but few actually want to change. If you want to change several things in your life, take one thing at a time and prove to yourself, to the Nth degree, that you can change it…by doing it.

Don’t stop until you get the result. If you keep going—and don’t stop—you’ll see doors opening all over the place.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 456 – Full Throttle Thursday – Think For Yourself: Censorship, Freedom of Speech, & the Direction Our Country is Headed Jan 13, 2022
    Show notes

In today’s episode, BT and I have a serious conversation about what’s been taking place in our country (the United States). It’s obvious to me there’s been something very ‘off’ about what’s happening. Historically, we’ve had censorship in the past, but never to the extent that we’re currently experiencing it.

Highly regarded doctors and scientists with tremendous credibility are being kicked off YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. They’re being discredited for sharing views that don’t fit the COVID narrative. Today we’re bringing some of these issues to light.

    In this episode, we discuss:

      • How top vaccine companies have rampant criminal behavior—with lawsuits and billions of dollars paid out for vaccine injuries—and they’re not liable for any of the harm they’ve caused
      • The war being waged between vaccinated and unvaccinated people, with unprecedented division in the United States right now
      • The Supreme Court argument on whether to stop vaccine mandates (meanwhile, the information some of the justices have is completely wrong)
      • The intense pushback other countries are seeing in response to totalitarian governments—meanwhile, the United States isn’t seeing this, because we’ve had it good for so long here; we don’t know what it’s like to have to fight for our freedom
      • The whole basis of our Constitution and our country has been that we can have civil debates and discuss different issues
      • Our Constitution has freedom of speech and other countries don’t (because it’s not in their Constitution)—this is why Australia is putting people in camps and having lockdowns
      • How the traditional media is making up stories and blowing things out of proportion—and the opposite side isn’t being broadcast in a way where everybody can easily access the information to be able to make their own decisions

Something very scary is taking place in all the free, democratic countries of the world. If you love this country, you need to be aware of what’s really going on. We need to think for ourselves, and not just accept any narrative across the board. It’s a very dangerous thing to have dissenting voices silenced. I encourage you to do your own research and make up your own mind about it.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 455 – Be Hungry Jan 11, 2022
    Show notes

Many years ago, I found a book filled with gems on ambition and desire. It was called The Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier. It’s a phenomenal piece of work that most people have never read.

In today’s episode I’m teaching on some of the ideas in that book.

    You’ll learn:

      • Ambition and desire are the two keys to success
      • Before you can accomplish anything, you must be possessed by ambition
      • Ambition means “a deep seated desire to materialize certain ideals which exist in the mind as mental pictures”
      • One of the biggest problems I see with people is that they don’t have enough desire to overcome the challenges to get where they want to go
      • Most people were taught that it’s not okay to want something better
      • Being exposed to something better can open up a desire in your mind to want more

To get where we want to go in life, we must learn to use our internal compass to want something more than anything else. This is the essence of desire. Instead of just having an intellectual focus on our desire, we need to really feel it, be consumed by it…and be hungry for it.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 454 – Mindset Monday’s – Be Persistent To Achieve Your Goals Jan 10, 2022
    Show notes

If you want to accomplish anything in life, you need to be persistent in your goals. Persistence needs to be a constant in your life—it needs to be a belief and also ingrained in your character. When a goal requires some difficulty or effort, you need persistence to reach it.

    In today’s episode you’ll learn:

      • Amateurs’ minds are impregnated with mediocrity, and they’re playing life like a lottery game—they want to abandon their goals at the first sign of things getting difficult
      • How Napoleon Hill interviewed 500 of the world’s most successful individuals who all agreed that there are certain principles for being successful in whatever you’re doing
      • You need to be clear on what you want to trade your life for
      • You need persistence to transmute desire into a monetary equivalent
      • Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat
      • Poverty is attracted to the person whose mind is favorable to it, as money is attracted to him whose mind has been deliberately prepared to attract it
      • 6 steps on how to build up your desires, so you can increase your persistence

To reach your goals, you must do things with intention and actually change your character so that you’re lined up with principles that allow you to succeed. Asking, “When is it going to happen?” is the wrong question when it comes to your goals.

Persistence will help you make it through the starts and stops, reboots and failures, as you’re trying to correct your own behavior.
