From Serial Entrepreneur to Life Architect: Bill Faeth on Building Business Around Your Life Oct 16, 2025
    Show notes

What if the secret to exponential business growth isn't working harder, but becoming a life architect first?
Serial entrepreneur Bill Faeth has launched 31 successful startups, but his most important transition was becoming a life architect. In "From Serial Entrepreneur to Life Architect: Bill Faeth on Building Business Around Your Life," Bill shares how a disappointing forum experience in 2015 revealed he was operating at only 85% in his marriage. Through weekly "Faith Fridays" and aligned life planning with his wife Maria, Bill transformed both relationships and business. Now running seven companies generating $24 million with just three employees, Bill architects his ventures around the life he wants—ski trips, fly fishing, international travel. "If you don't have your life at home optimized, you're probably not seeing your full potential on the business side either."

Bill Faeth is a serial entrepreneur, investor, speaker, and the founder of the #1 short-term rental brand (Build STR Wealth) in the industry, with a track record of building and scaling thirty-seven companies across multiple industries and generating more than $1 billion in lifetime sales. He is also the founder of the sold-out STR Wealth Conference, and his insights have been featured on NBC, Fox, Fox Business, Merit Street, and other major media outlets. Beyond business, Bill is a dedicated family man who shares his success with his wife, Brea, and their two amazing daughters, Gentry and Oaklee.

The Invisible Man: What Happens When You Retire at 49 and Lose Your Identity Oct 09, 2025
    Show notes

Nick Shelton retired from oil and gas at 49 thinking he'd won the race, only to find himself fading into invisibility. Everyone thought he had it made, but inside he felt profoundly alone. "I felt like Marty McFly watching himself disappear from the Polaroid—still alive, but fading away," he shares. Through hitting the wall hard, Nick developed the Reset Button framework to help others navigate the painful transition from achievement-based identity to purpose-driven living. His "be the angel" philosophy transformed emptiness into daily meaning. What happens when you die to your first life and consciously create your second? Nick's journey offers both validation and practical hope.

Nick Shelton is a bestselling author, TEDx speaker, and former petroleum chemist who retired from oil and gas at 49, only to discover that freedom without purpose can feel like a slow collapse. That crisis led him to create The Reset Button, a six-phase reinvention framework for accomplished men navigating retirement and major life transitions. Nick is also author of "An Introvert's Guide to World Domination" and has spoken on stages globally. With candor and practical insight, he helps high achievers reset their lives in ways that feel true, grounded, and alive again.

What 11 Days Alone in the Wilderness Taught Me About Healing Oct 02, 2025
    Show notes

What happens when you carry months of depression into the wilderness? Host Art Blanchford shares his raw, transformative journey through Maine's 100 Mile Wilderness with his cousin and therapist-in-training Jim Hunt. Within three days, Art's depression lifted. His body reset. And without forcing it, profound clarity emerged. They explore the fear of feeling sadness, why stuck emotions create depression, and how disconnecting from modern life reconnected Art with what truly matters. "Sadness is not a problem," Art reflects. "Stuck sadness is a problem." Can you grab clarity by reaching into muddy water? Or must you let it settle? This vulnerable conversation offers hope for anyone navigating transition, grief, or the search for purpose.
Jim Hunt, BSEE, MSW-student, is a Carnegie Mellon electrical engineering graduate transitioning from a 25-year technology career to become a therapist. After spending two years on a self-driven healing quest exploring relationships, trauma, and mental health, Jim is now completing his master's in social work at the University of Kentucky. As Art Blanchford's cousin and best friend, Jim brings both deep personal connection and emerging therapeutic expertise to understanding life transitions. His goal is to provide counseling and therapy services in his community

The Mother of Mindfulness: Ellen Langer's Life-Changing Insights Sep 18, 2025
    Show notes

Dr. Ellen Langer joins Art to explore how uncertainty can be liberating rather than frightening. After losing 80% of her possessions in a house fire, Ellen discovered profound lessons about resilience and human kindness. Her groundbreaking research challenges everything we believe about aging - from the counterclockwise study that reversed aging markers in days to her work showing chronic illness doesn't mean uncontrollable. "One plus one doesn't always equal two," she explains, demonstrating how rigid thinking limits our choices. Ellen reveals why stress requires prediction and how mindfulness - simply noticing new things - can transform our health, relationships, and approach to life transitions. A master class in living with curiosity rather than certainty.

Dr. Ellen Langer was the first woman to be tenured in psychology at Harvard, where she remains a professor of psychology today. Known worldwide as the "mother of mindfulness" and "mother of positive psychology," she has published over 200 research articles and thirteen books, including the international bestseller Mindfulness and her latest work, The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way to Chronic Health. Her groundbreaking research on mind-body unity and the psychology of aging has earned her three Distinguished Scientist awards, the Arthur W. Staats Award for Unifying Psychology, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Liberty Science Genius Award. She is also a gallery-exhibiting painter living in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Why the Worst Things That Happen to Us Become Our Greatest Gifts Aug 28, 2025
    Show notes

Mark Monchek thought he'd found his dream home in Brooklyn. Six days later, it was on fire. What followed were break-ins, theft, and months of living without basic necessities. But this devastating experience became the foundation for everything Mark teaches today about opportunity intelligence. "Everything we have in life, other than our humanness and our relationships, we rent," he discovered. Through radical disruption, Mark learned that hidden networks of support exist everywhere, most people are naturally generous, and that accepting reality without judgment opens the door to transformation. His journey from trauma to wisdom offers profound insights for anyone facing unexpected transitions.

Mark Monchek is the founder of Opportunity Lab, a strategy and leadership development firm that provides the direction, systems, and tools to take organizations to the next level of substantial growth. A proud father and grandfather, Mark has worked with leaders from Google, Apple, JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, The New York Times, Wharton School of Business, Columbia University, NBC, and the United Nations. He's the author of the Amazon nonfiction bestseller "Culture of Opportunity: How to Grow Your Business in an Age of Disruption" and has been featured in Real Leaders, The Better Business Book, Lifetime Network, WCBS, Newsday, and the San Francisco Chronicle. When Love Means Letting Go of Being Right Aug 21, 2025
    Show notes

What happens when a father loses contact with his children for three years? Garry Junkuhn discovered it can become the catalyst for profound transformation. After his relationship with a new partner led to complete estrangement from his sons, Garry chose an unconventional path. Instead of legal battles or blame, he embarked on a six-year nomadic journey of self-discovery. "What is the gift in this situation?" his mentor asked. That question changed everything. Through radical humility and personal growth, Garry not only reunited with his sons but built an even stronger relationship. His story offers hope to anyone facing relationship challenges: sometimes the way forward requires letting go of our story about what went wrong.

Garry Junkuhn is a South African-born father and founder of 100k Fathers, dedicated to helping fathers reunite with their children through personal transformation rather than legal battles. After experiencing three years of complete separation from his two sons following a painful custody situation, Garry embarked on a six-year nomadic journey of self-discovery across South America. This transformative period led to not only reuniting with his sons but building stronger relationships than ever before. Today, Garry guides fathers worldwide through his counterintuitive approach that emphasizes personal growth, emotional resilience, and letting go of blame. His work focuses on preparing fathers for reunion through inner work rather than external force, helping them become the men their children need them to be.

How Do You Know When Intuition Is Worth $50 Million? Aug 14, 2025
    Show notes

"Why do I want what I've been wanting? And is that still important?" - Tammy Alvarez

What happens when you trust your intuition completely, even when everyone calls you crazy? Stacie Shifflett's remarkable journey from hospitality worker to software company owner proves that sometimes our boldest moves create our biggest breakthroughs. After waking up one morning with a clear knowing to buy a $50 million software company—with no money of her own—Stacie spent nine months proving the doubters wrong. "I knew to the core of my being and I wouldn't take no for an answer," she shares. Her story isn't just about business success; it's about recognizing when the activities of your life are creating momentum instead of intention. From raising llamas to rolling out the first desktop computers at Health and Human Services, Stacie demonstrates how following your passion and staying true to your authentic self creates a life of both success and peace.

Stacie Shifflett is a visionary leader and the founder of Modern Consciousness®, where she guides individuals to chart their unique Treasure Map to Joy™ through her signature Elevate Your Life® program.
