    #14 - The Oslo Accords - The Peace Fallacy Pt. 1 Aug 18, 2024
    Show notes

The one time Palestinians and Israelis were apparently close to peace was in 1993 at the signing of the Oslo Accords. 30 years on, peace has never looked as unlikely as it does now, which begs the question, what was in these 'peace' agreements and can they really have been as comprehensive as they are often nowadays made out to be? In this episode, we take a look at the context and the specifics of the Oslo Accords themselves, painting a picture to show that their downfall was not only expected, but inevitable.

#13 - Breaking the Gaza Siege - Freedom Flotilla ft. Rifat Odeh May 20, 2024
    Show notes

Director of the documentary The Truth: Lost at Sea, and survivor of the Freedom Flotilla massacre, Rifat Odeh, takes us through his experience on the boat that attempted to break the siege and deliver much needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. We begin by asking the question why a humanitarian mission was necessary, before developing into the dark scenes that the Israeli military unfolded on the aid workers, as well as diving into the propaganda machine that attempted to save Israel's image. This comes during a crucial time where a new flotilla looks to leave for the same mission to Gaza in 2024. #11 - Are We on the Brink of Regional War? Apr 23, 2024
    Show notes

The recent tit-for-tat missile attacks by Israel and Iran have led to the fear that a regional war may very well prevail soon. In this episode, we go through who the two sides are, what the possibility of war actually is, and what the effect thereof on Gaza but also more generally Palestine would be.

#10 - Iran Retaliates: What Has Happened? Apr 15, 2024
    Show notes

For two weeks the world watched anxiously to see how Iran would respond to the attack on their consulate in Damascus, Syria, at the hands of the State of Israel. On the night of the 13th of April, we got our answer. Hundreds of drones and missiles were fired at Israel from Iranian territory for the first time ever. But how did we get into this situation in the first place? In this episode, we break down the context and the Iranian operation itself, in what certainly will not be the end of hostilities between the two powers.

    #9 - Debunking Zionist Talking Points Jan 20, 2024
    Show notes

From the simple misconception that Hamas launched a war on Israel to the idea that Israel has an inalienable right to defend itself through carpet bombing, Zionist propaganda has flooded the discourse with ideas which, when gone through systematically and logically, hold no value. In this episode, we go through and debunk some of the most common talking points that Israel has used to justify its genocide on Gaza. Join us!

    #8 - Why This is a Genocide Dec 26, 2023
    Show notes

#7 - The Early Colonization of Palestine ft. Dr Ilan Pappé Nov 18, 2023
    Show notes

Building on our last episode, here we aim to delve deeper into the early contemporary history of Palestine between the late 19th century up until the Nakba in 1948. With Dr Pappé, a veteran Israeli scholar, we discuss life under colonialism, how lobbying shaped Western support of Israel up until today, as well as the escalation into the Nakba from British colonial rule. #6 - The 100 Year History of Israel-Palestine Nov 12, 2023
    Show notes

The history of Israeli colonisation of Palestine is often described as too complicated to learn, and so when looking at events that occur in contemporary Palestine, everything lacks necessary context. In this episode of the Let's Talk Palestine Podcast, we try to give you a simplified description of key events that have occurred since the colonisation of Palestine began. Namely, we'll be taking you through the origins of the Zionist movement, the colonial period under the British Mandate, the Nakba (Palestinian Catastrophe), as well as more modern history such as the 1967 war, and the Oslo Accords. Join us!

    #5 - Israel's Crackdown Beyond Gaza Oct 31, 2023
    Show notes

Forced displacement, mass incarceration, guns for votes. The Israeli government is currently taking advantage of the fact that everyone's eyes and ears are fixed on the Gaza Strip by accelerating its own agenda in the West Bank to completely ethnically cleanse it. All of these details (+ more) are discussed in this episode so that we can shed light and expose the Zionist state for what it is; a genocidal, settler-colonial regime. Join us!
