All the accounts have one thing in common: the black-eyed children are terrifying, and elicit a strong fear that they are predatory & evil among those who encounter them. What are these black-eyed beings? Join us for part one of our coverage on this much-anticipated topic, as we delve into the black eyed children basics, history, and firsthand accounts with these little weirdos.

40 - The Incubus and Succubus Demons - Pardon me, you're rape-y. Jul 07, 2019

Show notes

Incubi and their contrast, Succubi are thought to be demons that have sexual relations with women and men, respectively, mostly while they are sleeping or in an otherwise compromised state. Some people believe that incubus and succubus demons are the same entity, simply switching back and forth from male to female, while others believe they are two separate entities entirely, often times working together to produce half-demon, half-human children. Variations of the incubus and the succubus vary in an incredible amount of folklore across the world. From historical to biblical mythology, there have been many iterations of these demons, but are they actually real, or just an extreme example of sleep paralysis? Join Ashley with special guest, Bianca from Crime Brulee podcast as they delve into the world of these sex demons that more often than not just seem a little bit rape-y.

38 - The "Disappearance" of Jaliek Rainwalker May 14, 2019

Show notes

Jaliek Rainwalker was born to a drug-addicted mother, and because of this, was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder, making it difficult for him to develop relationships. This also came with behavioral and developmental disorders, which resulted in his living in six separate foster homes before being adopted by Stephen Kerr and Jocelyn McDonald when he was 12 years old. Unfortunately, his new home was filled with fairly unlivable conditions and abuse. His foster parents, clearly not equipped to care for a child like Jaliek, wanted him out of their home. One evening, while he and his adoptive father were alone in a relative's unoccupied home, Jaliek disappeared and has never been seen or heard from since.

Did Jaliek really run away as his father claims, or did he do something terrible to him that night, something that he has gotten away with to this day? We discuss all the tragic details in this episode, with a special guest host, Holly from Murd Up Podcast.

37 - Loboto-who? Loboto-me! - Cruel & Bizarre Medical Practices Throughout History Apr 24, 2019

Throughout history, many barbaric experiments and practices have been undertaken by scientists and doctors, in the name of medical advancements. Many of these left patients in a worse state than they were to begin with, and often times these patients lost their lives all together. From lobotomies to heroin-filled "soothing syrup" for cranky babies, today we are discussing cruel and bizarre medical practices that sound more like a horror movie than real life. You may be left questioning whether you ever want to go to the doctor again.

35 - MK Ultra Part Two - The second official meeting of The Burn It All Down Crew Apr 01, 2019

Show notes

We continue our coverage of the CIA's mind control program. While we really have no idea the depths to which the MK Ultra project's research plunged, due to the fact that nearly all the project's documents were destroyed at the direction of then CIA Director, Richard Helms, what we do know from the declassified financial documents is still pretty horrifying. These documents make it clear that they were experimenting on unwitting citizens, military members, and prisoners, implementing trauma-based experimentation, and attempting to cover their tracks with front operations & deceptive practices. While they claim this type of research ended in the 1970s, there's little doubt in our minds that it is ongoing, more advanced, and more insidious.
Promo before the intro is from our friends over at Murd Up, a true crime podcast you MUST subscribe to, available nearly all the places you can listen to podcasts.
