Let Me Introduce You — Film Reviews
Let Me Introduce You

Let Me Introduce You is a podcast hosted by Graham Veth, Katie Kubert and Ashley Krohn. We’ve known each other nearly 20 years (starting back in film school) and have stayed close friends ever since.

We know…everything about one another and have far, far too much in common. Except, our taste in movies. Seriously, there is very little overlap….

Each week, one of us will introduce the others to one of our favorites. The catch is that one of us has to be seeing it for the first time.

From Troop Beverly Hills to Hellraiser; Clue to Nightmare on Elm Street; Barbarella to Step Up 2: The Streets, no movie is off the table (even if we find it’s not our cup of tea…).

New episodes drop every Thursday, let us introduce you to Let Me Introduce You! Make sure to follow us on Instagram @letmeintroyoupod and on Twitter @letmeintroyou

Hint: One of us did NOT! We discuss important films we all watched with our parents, as well as directors that inspired us in our youths (and if they've stayed that way). Plus, a Glenn Powell story (?!) and Katie mixes up two directors' filmographies in hilarious fashion.

Say it isn't so! We also discuss other spooky movies from our youth, our admiration of Eartha Kitt, and the perils of getting older (Ashley's poor knee!). Stay safe out there kids, and Happy Halloween! ALSO, apologize ahead of time for some audio issues...Graham got a little carried away with his enthusiasm.

Katie must have LOVED it. (Spoiler: She did not love it!) We have quite a time discussing one of the strangest movies that has ever graced the silver screen, starring Scott Baio (boo) and Jodie Foster (yay). So, grab your spurge gun, put on your dancing shoes, and have Paul Williams dub all of your singing, because when you give a little love, it all comes back to you!

Show notes

This week, we are looking for adventure on the BIG BLUE WET THING! Graham introduces Katie and Ashley to the charming, swashbuckling Muppet adventure where Kermit & the gang (and an amazing Tim Curry) take on the Robert Louis Stevenson's classic. We recorded this back in 2024, so if any pop culture references are out of date, that's why :)

We wrap up with a discussion on our summer jobs: Katie as a CHEF(!), Graham hatred of lettuce wraps, and Ashley's adventures in Hollywood. S4E05 - The Heiress (1949) Jun 12, 2025

Show notes

For this episode, we go way back to 1949 with William Wyler's "The Heiress," starring Olivia de Havilland in her Academy Award-winning performance in one heck of a movie. We gush over her brilliant performance, marvel at Ralph Richardson's portrayal of a particularly dastardly father, and absolutely SWOON over the delicious Montgomery Clift. We then dive into the value of a film with an ambiguous ending, and we wrap it up with Graham asking Ashley a handful of fun media-centered questions.

You can find the video Graham brings up at the end here and wonder to yourself, "Why the hell did this make him so emotional?"
