How to Rebuild Confidence when it is not that obvious? Mar 09, 2022
    Show notes

Confidence is based on decisions and achievements that feed your passion and that cause you to feel cheerful and at ease with what your identity is. ๐Ÿ”Ž Finding these elements of confidence is perhaps the most beneficial quest for you life.

๐Ÿง  Research shows that a regular practice of rituals and habits โ€” like surrounding ourselves with people who believe in us, or celebrating even our smallest of wins โ€” can help us feel more self-assured over time. It can also be helpful to build a toolbox of strategies to implement on the days where confidence-boosting doesnโ€™t feel so intuitive.

We have to learn to embrace ourselves without comparing ourselves with others. We are unique and different in our own ways and when we stop comparing our self to other people we feel more confident. In return our self- esteem also rises.

Lastly, we must accept change around us and learn to adapt to it. If we do this at our own pace we will be at ease and feel more confident.

How to recharge when Zoom calls pile up? Feb 19, 2022
    Show notes

Social distancing has affected our lives in many ways; especially our work lives. Most of us are still working remotely, working from home and online. We spend hours in front of our laptops with back to back online meetings because we can fit so much more in our days because meetings are just a few clicks away. This is taking a big mental toll on most of us:

    • For some, producing social anxiety due to public speaking
    • We get more tired as the cognitive load is much higher in video chats: in regular face-to-face interactions, nonverbal communication is quite natural and each of us naturally makes and interprets gestures and nonverbal cues subconsciously. But in video chats, we have to work harder to send and receive signals to our brain.

๐Ÿš€ In this episode of the Learn with Bessern Podcast, we take a review on what we can do to easily recover after all theses back to back online sessions.

How to start investing in well-being at work? Feb 18, 2022
    Show notes

Starting a wellbeing strategy at work is not a matter of cost, it is often a matter of eagerness to make it happen. Organizations have to start focusing on employees well-being and create opportunities for them to reveal their stress levels.

โžก๏ธ Encouraging new simple behaviors and reinventing a corporate culture having the employee' wellbeing at its core...

Some zero cost strategies that drive wellbeing impact on organizations:

    - Leadership walking the talk on wellbeing practices

    - Focus on personal development: create opportunities for employees for work on passion projects that are not related to their day job

    - Encourage discussions around mental health and create an environment where employees feel safe to share and discuss.

Make leadership the catalyst for vulnerable discussion - leaders should be role modeling the behaviors you want for the organization.

    ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ Some extra resources:

    Show notes

The focus on employee well-being has accelerated since COVID. Corporations are taking steps to find someone accountable on employee well-being. What are the skills required for this role?

This role should bring Leadership & Expertise on creating an efficient practice environment, cultivating personal resilience, and developing an organizational culture that fosters engagement and professional fulfillment.

How can people learn better the skills they need at work? Feb 06, 2022
    Show notes

When we speak about upskilling in organizations, the most used tool is the traditional training โ€“ which means passing on knowledge with an intense agenda for 1 or 2 days.

Can we challenge traditional learning when we know how the brain processes information and converts it into behaviors? How do we make learning stick and be practiced?
