An English Lesson to Help You Pronounce Words with TH, SH, S, R, X, W, and EX Dec 02, 2020
    Show notes

When you are learning English, it's always good to practice your pronunciation from time to time with tongue twisters. These are phrases that are very hard to say clearly and quickly, even for native English speakers.
In this English lesson I will help you learn 5 completely new tongue twisters that are designed to help you practice pronouncing the S, SH, TH, R, W and X sounds in English.
Some of these are very hard for some English learners. Some of these phrases might be easy for you. Either way, take some time each day this week to practice these tongue twisters and help develop the ability to pronounce these sounds correctly when speaking English.
I hope you enjoyed this English lesson where you were able to learn a few more tongue twisters.
    Have a great day!

Do This! Don't Do That! English Learning Controversies! Nov 25, 2020
    Show notes

There are as many theories on how to learn English as there are people. In this English lesson I look at the following four questions and give my opinion on each:
    1) Do you need a native English teacher (versus a non-native English teacher) to learn English?
    2) Should you use subtitles when watching an English video?
    3) Do you need to learn English grammar?
    4) Can you learn English just by listening?
I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about each of these, and I think you'll find my practical responses to each of these questions helpful as you continue to learn English.
After all, there is no right or wrong answer most of the time. The right answer is that you should be setting up a deliberate routine to study the English language that allows you to make good progress with your learning regardless of what others say you should or should not be doing!
I hope you enjoyed this English lesson! Have a great day!
