Coven: Alternate Universe Oct 07, 2024

Show notes

Happy October! We're excited to start exploring some of the creepier sides of Runeterra this month, and we're starting with the Coven Alternate Universe. Between witches and old gods and dark woods, there's plenty to enjoy this Halloween season. And of course we had too much fun doing it.

Ahri: Revisit Sep 30, 2024

Show notes

We're excited because Ahri actually got some lore that progressed her story forward. With the release of The Ruined King game, Ahri developed some friendships, found out about those rocks she's been carrying around, and solved her dark and shady past. So rare! We're excited to see where she goes next, and would even be happy if she just chilled here forever.

Noxus Sep 23, 2024

Show notes

We've talked a ton about Noxus, but never really all together like this. It's a confusing place. What kind of strength are we looking for? Where do bakers fall into all of this? Would Talon kill for a really good muffin? We explore all of this and more in this episode.

AU: Project Sep 16, 2024

Show notes

The Project Alternate universe includes quite a few skins, and our lovely John did a ton of work and collecting all of their lore for us! It's a bit tough to piece this all together, but what we have here is some good old fashioned POTENTIAL. How beautiful to say the word again!

The Lore Lab Sep 09, 2024

Show notes

There are plenty of plot holes in the League of Legends lore, and we certainly don't blame Riot Games for that. I mean, we do, but we get it too. Still, we wanted to try filling some of those holes (I'm sorry blame John), by making some champions of our own! Being creative is hard please be nice to us.

Revisit: Aatrox Sep 03, 2024

Show notes

Sure we've already talked about this guy, but that was like a million years ago. Also, we weren't even doing the AU's back then! It's definitely nice to revisit this area of Shurima's history now that we know more about it, although we do still have some questions. But let's face it, the aspects and ascended will always be a little confusing.

Runeterra 101 Aug 26, 2024

Show notes

Although we've now read more lore than most League fans, some of us still haven't even looked at a map of Runeterra. And so for those people (Rebecca) and anyone who might be coming over from Arcane or just Riot's numerous games, here is a little rundown of the world of Runeterra. There are a lot of regions to cover, and we're just trying to scratch the surface here. So naturally we talked for almost 2 hours.

AU: High Noon Aug 20, 2024

Show notes

It's our first look into an Alternate Universe, and of course we started with the coolest one. Gods, demons, devils (THEY'RE DIFFERENT OK???), angels. Miss Fortune is there too for some reason?? It's dope, trust us. And we're once again putting it into the universe that we really really need an animated show for this.

League Lore: A Retrospective Aug 12, 2024

Show notes

It's been a long and incredible journey, everyone! This week we wanted to sit down and discuss some of our favorite and less than favorite lore we've read these last few years. And, of course, what we're hoping for the future. We're excited about this next chapter of our podcast, and we hope you all can join us!

Zyra Aug 05, 2024

Show notes

WE DID IT, LOREHEADS. We made it all the way to Zyra. It's been an amazing journey going through all the champs, and don't worry, this podcast will absolutely continue onward. We have AU's, regions, and plenty of revisits to get through. For now, here's a little bit of Zyra lore. She doesn't have much, but we're hoping Riot will eventually tie her into Ixtal a little more in the future. Here's hoping!
