Diana Apr 12, 2021

Show notes

Although Diana, Scorn of the Moon has been out in the world for a very long time, her lore is still lacking in ways we found a bit disappointing. Between an interesting relationship with Leona (Riot pls make them gay we all know it's true), and an intense conflict with the people who raised her, Diana has a lot of room for interesting stories. Sadly, there just aren't any. Maybe one day! Until then, listen to us speculate on what they should do because obviously we know best.

Darius Apr 05, 2021

Show notes

Friends and Loreheads, after two weeks of lore amounting to less than 1k words, we finally have some story to sift through. Our favorite Hand of Noxus Darius looks like a generic, beefy ax boy at first glance, but Riot went ahead and gave this big boy some brains and, yes, even a heart. Also I had too much wine, apologies.

Corki Mar 29, 2021

Show notes

Sadly, like last week, there's not much to say about The Daring Bombardier Corki, but we stretched this out anyway. With some truly riveting content, I'm sure. John complained that I left our entire Void name conversation in the last episode, so here's my official apology for that (I'm not sorry).

Cho'Gath Mar 22, 2021

Show notes

Sadly our beautiful, big terror of the void has the shortest bio we've come across so far. Cho'Gath doesn't have much going for him, aside from Big Smart Void Monster Who Eats Things (I just wrote the bio for you!) so RE'ROY, JO'ETS, and MA'TEN were really stretched for content here. I'd love to promise a longer episode next week but...............

Cassiopeia Mar 15, 2021

Show notes

We used our favorite word again with The Serpent's Embrace, Cassiopeia: Potential. Yet another champion that got left behind with the lore reworks. Although she has some important sibling ties and literally killed another champion, Cassiopeia still feels like a nonfactor in the grand scheme of things. At least y'all get to hear Rebecca watch an old Dominion cinematic in real time.

Camille Mar 08, 2021

Show notes

While Camille, The Steel Shadow, might be an awesome lady, we're genuinely worried about the state of her feet. Can someone get this lady some cover-ups for her wildly sharp legs? This is important. But Camille manages to get beyond her scary, unreasonable appendages to do some dope stuff, so we still liked her.

Caitlyn Mar 01, 2021

Show notes

Our favorite Piltover Sheriff remains a mystery as Riot refused to give us the in-depth lore Caitlyn deserves. Who is C? Do we care? What would be on Caitlyn's dating profile? All questions we still have after reading Caitlyn lore stories that are actually about other people.

Braum Feb 22, 2021

Show notes

Our favorite cheery Freljordian dad was a little disappointing lore-wise, which is something we just have to start getting used to, I guess. But Braum, the Heart of the Freljord, is a pure delight, although do you think he'd be more fun with a baby? Also, Riot, hire me to write Braum and Illaoi's love story please and thank you.

Brand Feb 15, 2021

Show notes

Our favorite firey man Brand The Burning Vengeance doesn't have much going for him, but Kegan is hella cool and interesting. There's a lot to unpack here, but we have to admit, we feel like we're missing a few pieces to help us connect this cool barbarian with the fire demon we all know and love.

CONTENT WARNINGS: Discussions of rape and assault in this episode.

Blitzcrank Feb 08, 2021

Show notes

Our favorite Great Steam Golem Blitzcrank lives a simple life, letting us finally take a break from the massive wars and cosmos. They also, however, pop up in more Alternate Universes than I ever thought possible. Join us as we dive into Zaun for the first time aboard the massive descender The Rising Howl.
