With Decades of experience, these 2 saw an opportunity in the surf industry and launched a Clothing Company that was originally a surfboard building brand started by Bob Hurley in 1980 called “International Pro Designs” IPD. The mission of IPD is to reignite surf culture through surfing, by having fun, riding waves and celebrating everything that made us fall in love with this sport and lifestyle. We welcome William “Bill” Hurley and Mark “Simmo” Simpson.

His DAD was a Hawaiian Legend and ICON, a respected surf coach, was on the forefront of surfboard innovation and design for decades and named one of the "TOP 10 Best Shapers of ALL TIME". Following the footsteps of the Family Legacy, he and his older brother, Akila, are continuing the family tradition. They are combining their own experiences , techniques , and knowledge that was passed down from the late great 'BEN AIPA" (REST IN POWER)! Our guest this week is our first DJ radio personality. He has been dominating the airwaves since

the early 80’s, getting his first gig on KROQ broadcasting reviews of his self-published

“inexpensive restaurant guild books” he wrote. From there he became KROQ’s local surf

reporter with our very Own HB Legend “Rockin Fig” (R.I.P) and Co-host on the morning show

with Richard Blade. He quickly became one the stations most popular figures when he created

“Loveline”…. A Sunday night dating and relationship segment. The success of Loveline

catapulted him to Celebrity Status as the show became syndicated and televised on MTV.

Throughout his amazing career, he is the only on-air talent in Los Angeles history, to work at all

three major music giants, KROQ, Power 106, and KIIS. We welcome the one and only Jim “The

Poor Man” Trenton.

He has been battling Cancer for the last couple of years….while at the same time also giving

back to those less fortunate….working for an awesome Nonprofit Organization Called “A Walk

on Water”. A surf therapy for children with unique needs. He has been a mentor to many, a

positive and supportive influence to everyone, a FIGHTER, and most importantly…. an all-around

Our guest this week is an incredibly talented artist, writer, singer, and musician. He ran for Governor in 2003??!! He writes, books/novels, and he practices hypnotherapy! He has been sober since 1989 and has helped countless others battling addiction through his own experiences and his writings on recovery. But before all the goodie two shoes stuff, he grew up in Long Beach as a rebellious skater, surfer, and bad ass punk rocker heavily into music and drugs at an early age. In high school he and his good friend Todd Barnes stole a girl friends guitar/amplifier and the rest is history. Punk Music was forever changed and so were SURF movie soundtracks. Team Houses on the North Shore for many years and has spent more time out at Pipe than

most Pro Surfers. He charges Big Waves and is no slouch on a Dirt Bike either, finishing multiple

top 10 finishes in the Surfercross Event. He now focuses most of his time on family and as Co-Owner at LXD Eyewear that we are stoked to hear about. We welcome Ronny “ Ron Dog “ Nelson.
