J.J. Daigneault spent some 16 years playing in the National Hockey League. He was a member of ten different teams, including the Flyers. His time in Philadelphia was relatively short, two seasons, but he scored one of the most memorable goals in franchise history, the game-winner in Game #6 of the 1987 Stanley Cup against the Edmonton Oilers at the Spectrum.
In Episode #69 of “1-on-1 with Matt Leon,” Matt catches up with Daigneault over Zoom to talk about his current role as the head coach of the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL, his career in the NHL, and that incredible goal against the Oilers.
