Episode #042: Volcanic Eruptions "Upend" YD Impacts Evidence? Aug 19, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex RC reviews evidence for nanodiamonds in the Oklahoma Panhandle, with a hint at a more recent and local impact event, and in the eastern margin of the Greenland Ice Sheet. Can nanodiamonds be produced terrestrially? A chart of the Volcanic Explosivity Index leads RC to talk about ash from Mount St. Helens that has been found and dated within the Scablands floods' rhythmites, and how those were the basis for the theories of repeated Lake Missoula dam-break outburst floods. Then we get into the just-released paper that links the micro-proxies to volcanic eruptions and credits coincident endogenic processes for the Younger Dryas cooling episode, and because the authors do nothing to negate or refute the evidence for a YDB impact, they have a long way to go to prove their case and extrapolate the evidence from Hall's Cave to the entire planet. Episode #041: Multi-Continent Nanodiamonds and Nay-sayers Aug 11, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex Randall introduces the most comprehensive paper detailing the findings of nanodiamonds at 24 sites in ten countries across three continents, and then reverts to a 2008 contribution that sought to slam the YDIH as soon as it was presented, noting the odd timing, fallacy-filled arguments and weak statements, but also giving credit for a few things these critics got correct in their paper. We'd like to show them some "spectacular evidence" in the Scablands and prove to them that cosmic "Frankenstein" monsters are very real! More nano-diamond evidence is shared from findings in the Greenland ice sheet and Oklahoma Panhandle as we attempt to nail the coffin of the nay-sayers... Episode #040: Megaflood Appalachian Boulder Fields/Streams Aug 03, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex We talk more about the curious character Jeremy, and his role in the past few decades of knowing RC – geologic explorations and his first Carolina Bay overflight, debating Sasquatch and designing drawing compasses – until his recent disappearance into the Pacific Northwest. Multiple adventures into the Appalachians revealed scoured valleys, filled with cobbles and boulders that tell a specific and catastrophic story that most are blind to their signatures and presence. With examples of giant boulder deposits, RC instructs about imbrication and then more into scale-invariant features like sand bars and current ripples, culminating with a few examples of what we'll see during the fall Scablands tours. An excellent gateway that dabbles into our forthcoming multi-episode journey into megafloods! Episode #039: Meteors & Fireballs - Modern Geocosmic Threats Jul 27, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex Russ inquires when we'll be getting into the macro-scale "footprints" of catastrophe, so RC reviews the necessity to get these details and fingerprints covered thoroughly, as we are beginning to make the deliberate segue from the YDB evidence into the megafloods. He shares multiple accounts of meteors and fireballs reported in Popular Astronomy during the early 20th century, culminating with an article about the "Great Fireball Procession of 1913" and projecting what may happen if a "flock of Tunguskas" like this train of clustered objects had come in at a steeper angle and exploded. What larger cosmic forces are acting to periodically influence our solar system? We are just learning of our place in this dynamic and populated cosmic neighborhood, and we should target these orbiting bodies and prepare to utilize the resources that they deliver. Episode #038: Tunguska's Geocosmic Lessons from 1908 Detonation Jul 15, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex Randall reviews some of the Tunguska witnesses' extraordinary accounts and shares photos from Leonid Kulik's team excursions into the blast zone (treks that are worthy of a high-budget movie) as we ponder what forces could have inspired the frightful anecdotes and created the many odd features that remain – some of them reminiscent of Carolina Bays. A quote from Isaac Asimov points out the coincidences of timing and location that allowed it to leave plenty of evidence for study without killing a single human. Scientific observations and secondary effects included seismic and pressure waves, new streams, bright nights across Europe, exotic materials in the soils, and genetic mutations. Finally: Were the Taurids the source for the Tunguska object and the clustered bombardments around the Younger Dryas Boundary? Episode #037: Tunguska's Terrifying Tales - Geocosmic Lessons 1908 Airburst Jul 07, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex In his seemingly round-about but deftly interweaving style, RC collates some of the factors regarding the Younger Dryas and how cosmic lessons from recent events are lending insights that can be applied to solve the mystery. He highlights our unique circumstance with the advancements of technology that we employ to "see" Earth's ecosystem in the micro to macro scales, and how we can piece together the incomplete human puzzle. Eyewitness accounts from the massive airburst explosion over the Siberian taiga in 1908 provide us the common imagery to link modern science with the myths and legends from our deep past, as we continue to peel away the many layers that obscure us from the knowledge of our true history. Episode #036: Asteroid Day June 30 Taurids Summer Special Edition Jun 30, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex Looking back to the origin of the Taurid meteor stream and its fragmenting/disintegrations possibly timing with the climatic changes over the last 25k years, with one of its members having been the "Tunguska" object that exploded over Siberia in 1908, RC reviews the comparable explosive powers in nuclear testing and impact cratering events. The Shoemaker-Levy 9 Jovian impacts and the Tunguska airburst were supreme teaching events which Randall weaves into many learning moments for us! With a string of exclaiming headlines, he stresses the critical point that we must act on the fact that we live on a vulnerable planet... Kosmographia Ep036 The Randall Carlson Podcast with the Snake Brothers – Kyle and Russ, Normal Guy Mike and GCREX admin Bradley, from 06/22/20. (There was a last-moment decision to make this episode an extended version of a brief program RC is presenting on Asteroid Day - June 30th.)

Episode #035: Wildfires and the Wasteland - Fingerprints of Catastrophe Jun 25, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex RC pulls an edge model of a dodecahedron from his bookshelf and the description of its properties evolves into speculation about our planet being engineered and the possibilities of tweaking the system. Then returning to the evidence from the Greenland ice cores for extraordinary continental-scale wildfires, we discuss the possible weather changes that result from landscapes devoid of vegetation – an expansive "Wasteland" that any survivors would have had to navigate, which is an intrinsic motif of the Grail mythos. The widespread biomass-burning is confirmed along with platinum deposition right at the YDB on multiple graphs from numerous locations, as we wind down our detailed inspections of these fingerprints of catastrophe… Kosmographia Ep035 The Randall Carlson Podcast with the Snake Brothers – Kyle and Russ, Normal Guy Mike and GCREX admin Bradley, from 06/10/20.

Episode #034: Extraordinary Wildfires - Fingerprints of Catastrophe from High-temp Events Jun 19, 2020

Show notes

https://RandallCarlson.com/links https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex RC and crew continue to review and discuss the scientific papers that have compiled evidence in support of a major catastrophe at the Younger Dryas Boundary. The Channel Islands off the southern California coast reveal massive fires and floods at that time and a quick shift from forests to grasslands. We puzzle over critics who attribute the transitions to climate change, but don't consider what forces may be driving that climate change, which prompts Randall to look at the unlikely hypotheses about the repeated filling and draining of Lake Missoula, asking: What conditions allowed that basin to be filled up to the first order stream level? We then get into a 2018 paper authored by many from the Comet Research Group addressing "Extraordinary Biomass-burning Episode and Impact Winter… ~12,800 years ago." Episode #033 Addendum: Anzick-1 Jun 15, 2020

Show notes

The question of "where are all the human remains" opened again the Anzick-1 mystery at the end of Ep033, to which Kyle needs to make some corrections to his reporting of the story of the original discovery in Montana in 1968.
