Secret Garden #3 May 06, 2020

Show notes

It's episode 3 of Secret Garden, and there's still no sign of the body switching premise we were promised (WHEN DO THE BODIES SWITCH?!?). What we do get is more creepy stalking and blatant sexual harassment by Richie Rich, more brooding from Hottie, and another character in the form of a hotshot musician with anti-capitalist leanings.

Episode 3 Synopsis: Joo Won invites Ra Im to join him for dinner, hoping to make his way into her favour by reconfirming his position as a CEO of the department store.

Show notes

Season 2 of the Korean Drama Podcast starts with a new (old) drama and new hosts! Steve Lim, Kathy Yamamoto, and Kim Cooper take over recapping duties as they dive into the 2010 K-Drama Secret Garden, a show about what happens when a rich boy and a poor girl switch bodies... supposedly... no body-switching happens in episode one, instead we get introduced to a cast of colorful characters including a rich guy that likes to neg, a badass girl with blood to spare, and one hottie to rule them all. Are you ready for season 2?

Episode 1 Synopsis: Wealthy mogul Kim Joo Won and the daughter of a former minister, Yoon Seul, enjoy a date together before a stunt girl rescues Yoon Seul. - Watch Now on Viki

Boys Over Flowers #22 Oct 31, 2017

Show notes

The wedding nobody is excited about is finally here! How will Jan Di celebrate? By getting kidnapped of course. Join our hosts as they recap the epic conclusion to the Boys Over Flowers saga. Will love(?) triumph over all? What there's still 3 episodes left?!?!?!?!?!! Also, Phil shares his much more interesting list of possible Boys Over Flowers spin-off shows (my favorite is the Secret Life of Ringo).

Episode 22 Synopsis: It's time for the wedding, but when the priest asks if anyone has objections, the entire audience is surprised by the answer. Meanwhile, Yi Jung struggles to cope with Ga Eul's demands, and Jan Di is enlisted as a caretaker for a mysterious comatose man. Who is he, and what is his connection to the Goo business? - Watch Now
